PETA Whackos and Sea World

I think anyone who claims membership in PETA is a lunatic. A stark-raving mad lunatic. I think they’re mentally unbalanced. I think they have serious issues with reality and live in a world of their own creation.

But I also believe they should be free to live in their delusional world, as long as they don’t try and force me to do things against my will. And in this case, I think a sane person has accidentally connected with the PETA loonies — but that’s fine.

The story is about a possible attempt by PETA to buy a Sea World park and “free” the animals therein. I absolutely love the idea. Not because I think the animals are “jailed,” but because the PETA whackos are doing this without taking from me. This is exactly how things should be done. This is what freedom is. If you want to “save” the animals in a business, you just go ahead and buy it, and you can free them — or you can eat them, I don’t care. Just stop trying to take my money and rights to complete your agenda.

I wish more groups would take this route. Hey Sierra Club (a group that used to be nice, but now is just another far, far left radical communist front group) — why don’t you try this method? If you want “open space,” why don’t you get you and all your pals together and BUY IT instead of using government to take land by force? Hey urban sprawl opponents, why don’t you try it? Go ahead, gather your yuppie pals and BUY the land you want to not develop — I sure won’t stop you.

Freedom is a wonderful thing. I just really, really wish there were a LOT more of it.

DC Terrorist Fundraiser Canceled

Big DC fundraiser cancelled

Blogburst logo, petition

Cancel as well the urgent action alert that was going to be the subject of today’s blogburst post. The Memorial Project has just abandoned the “gala” tribute and fundraiser they were planning for almost a year. The event was to be held in Washington DC on September 11th, and yes, they actually called it a “gala,” until Flight 93 family members said NO WAY.

Last month’s announcement of the event promised big:

An impressive Honorary Host Committee has been assembled consisting of over 200 members of Congress and the leadership of both the Senate and the House of Representatives. Special state delegations from Pennsylvania and California are also being organized for the event.

Assembled where? In the imaginations of Memorial Project personnel? If there really were 200 Congressmen on board, including the leadership of both parties, what could possibly prompt cancellation?

Chinese Olympic Gymnasts

I think this pretty much sums it up

Oh, but we’re supposed to rest easy because the IOC, who has already declared that there’s nothing to see, is investigating. Here’s a very accurate transcript of the IOC investigation:

IOC: Is she old enough?
China: Yes.
IOC: Did you cheat?
China: No.
IOC: Well, that’s good enough for us! You win, everyone else shut up.

That’s about it, although my transcript might have more questions than the IOC investigation. You see, the IOC is relying on Chinese government documents that were printed THIS YEAR. And they’re ignoring dozens of Chinese government documents that were printed in many previous years. In other words, the Chinese government says she’s old enough and is proving it by printing a document. We’re supposed to accept that because it’s a government document. And we’re supposed to ignore government documents printed by the same government each year for the past four years.

Hey IOC — everyone else on the planet now realizes that the Chinese openly and blatantly cheated. You and the Chinese government are the only two organizations that are attempting to promote that cheating. The only way that the IOC will retain any semblance of credibility as an impartial governing body is to completely void all medals the ineligible Chinese athletes won. They should also ban all Chinese competition in the Olympic gymnastics for the next four years.

Yeah, I’m not holding my breath. They just keep giving me more and more reasons to oppose the Olympics.
