So, what’s been going on in this crazy “Democracy” of a country these days?
Well, if you are found with poop in your yard, that’s $1,000 fine. No, really. In Denver, if there’s poop in your yard, that will cost you $1000, and the city will send police to your house to fine you. If you don’t pay the fine, you will be jailed or shot for having poop in your yard. If you don’t like your neighbor there, just send your dog to their yard, and they’ll get the fine. There’s no word from police officials if the fine will be smaller for poop from other animals. Fourth amendment? I keep telling you, the Constitution does not apply today. You own nothing in this country. The government owns all and knows all. Disobey and you will be killed (seriously).
Florida marginally recognized that there might be a right to bear arms. They’re not really sure. Of course, the interpretation that appears to have been given makes sense — people have the right to bear arms and employers can’t disarm their employees. At the same time, businesses CAN set limits on who they allow in their private property (armed customers). Feel free, businesses of Florida, to post signs that tell criminals that all your customers are unarmed. And go ahead and ask North Carolina businesses how well that worked out when Grass Roots North Carolina started posting a list of all businesses that did so.
Do you have an incurable disease that is spread easily? Is it a deadly disease that kills most people who get it? Well then, you’re not to be quarantined and kept away from other people so you don’t spread the deadly disease. Instead, President Bush welcomes you to America! Yes, bring us your huddled and diseased masses to spread your disease here! No, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with your race, color, sex, or anything else. It’s simply lifting a ban on people with serious, deadly, contagious diseases from entering this country. Oh, right, what country? For a minute there I was living in the past — a time when America had borders and citizens.

It appears that John McCain has selected his vice-presidential candidate.
In following with his “maverick” theme, John McCain continue to break all the rules. Instead of selecting just one person to be vice-president, John has selected two to be co-vice-presidents. Both are to be equal vice presidents and serve their terms. Pay, of course, will be doubled so each gets full pay. In the event of the death of the president, both will take over and America will have it’s first co-president.
John McCain has selected both Hillary Clinton and algore to be his co-vice-presidents. McCain says this is another way that he is reaching across the aisle to show that everyone should “vote” for him because he wants everyone to be equal to everyone else at all times. He promised that the three of them could rule over the country well because they all had the same goals: to completely control everyone and every thing in the country.

Now I realize that Pelosi’s quote about “saving the planet” is old news. But I’ll tell you, when I first heard about it, I had much the same reaction that Chuck Baldwin had — who are you, Miss Pelosi, to anoint yourself as savior of the planet? Now if you are so arrogant and self-centered to actually believe that you, personally, can save the planet, you go right ahead — but wait one minute — you “save the planet,” but leave me alone. Don’t take my money by force as you tilt at windmills. Don’t take my freedom of choice away as your personal crusade continues. And don’t crush my economic freedom in your never-ending quest. But of course, Pelosi IS a Democrat, so the only way she can or will do ANYTHING is by destroying other people. She will not use her own money, she will use MY money — and that’s plain wrong and evil.
Of course, I’ve been listening around the water cooler, and I’m absolutely sickened by the people who heard Pelosi and said, “Oh, isn’t that nice? She’s such a nice lady.” Yes, these are the typical voters in America today — utterly clueless. And yes, these people are almost as bad as Pelosi because they vote without informing themselves, and they vote against freedom.
However, after reading Chuck’s column, I also noted he made the various comparisons of Democracy to a Republic. And he tried to point out that we were a republic. Unfortunately, I think he’s wrong.
Was this country created as a republic? Without question. Is this country supposed to be a republic? Absolutely. Is this country a republic today? I don’t think so. I think we have become a democracy — and will end our existence as all democracies have throughout history. Just look around — how does one get elected? By listening to the loudest screaming voices and giving bribes to the people who support you. That is not, in any way, shape, or form, a republic.
We used to have a republic. We used to have freedom. This country simply is no longer a republic. Could it return to one? Maybe — but it would require hard work from a lot of people. And I honestly don’t think enough people care just yet.

So Bush met with some people who like freedom. These people also are working hard to ensure that the oppressive regime of China allows people freedom of religion. No, not freedom “from” religion or state-mandated religion like the ACLU and others in America want — but actual freedom to worship on their own. I know, it’s a radical concept. But maybe president Bush really will push for freedom in China when he visits.
Now I still don’t think he should attend the opening ceremonies. Claim it’s about sports all you like, but this IS a political move, whether anyone else wants to admit it or not.
What isn’t in the press release is that at the meeting, Bush received an Olympic prayer band. He also received the addresses of a few house churches that are in China, and he was invited to visit these churches when he is there. Now if Bush really wants to send a clear message to China that we actually like freedom, he could wear that bracelet when he meets Chinese government officials. Wouldn’t that be a powerful message?
