Buy American… Beer.
So, I was confused what to do after Anheuser-Busch was sold. I owned stock in A-B, not as an investment, but because I liked owning a part of the company. Every time I went to buy beer, I’d buy A-B stuff, to help support the company. I made trips to the theme parks because they were great. It was a wonderful experience and lots of fun. But now that time is over. Money from the sales of the beer is going out of the country — so I’ve decided I’m done with A-B products. I know some of you will be saying, “About time!”
However, inspired by this page, I’m going to start trying to find a new, American-based beer to support.
I know William Teach says I should go with Carolina Brewing Company. Since that one is brewed in North Carolina, it’s worth checking out. I need to be sure they’re not owned by some multi-national conglomerate or something. I absolutely LOVE Atlantic Brewing Company beers. They are the best I’ve ever had. And I do like Sam Adams. However, both of those two are really expensive. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Sam Adams under $7.50 a six-pack, while Wal-Mart routinely had Bud under $5. However, if I can’t find anything else, I am willing to pay more to buy American. Are you?
