The Hatred of McDonald’s

The McDonald’s Corporation has decided they do not like a lot of people. In an absolutely classic example of total doublespeak, their corporate spokesman has said that hatred has no place in our culture; therefore they’re going to support and actively promote organizations that are full of hatred towards the majority of the American country. He goes on to say that they want to support living in a world free of harassment while they give large sums of money to promote campaigns of harassment.

I don’t often get involved with boycotts. Sure, I’ve been boycotting all Chinese-made products for many years. But it seems to me that most organizations, especially large ones like McDonald’s, don’t really care — and they’re not often affected. But this time, I’m going to get involved and hope there’s an effect. You see, the McDonald’s corporation, and all their money, are supporting organizations that want to openly deny me my rights.

And no, I’m not trying to deny others rights — that’s the difference. If you want to be gay, you just go ahead and be gay. I WILL NOT STOP YOU. However, when you try and use the force of government to prevent me from disapproving of your actions, that’s wrong, plain and simple. And the McDonald’s corporation has drawn a line — they think I am full of hatred because I don’t want to approve of people who are gay. Once again, I won’t stop them, I don’t want to force anyone to do anything. And under the current management of McDonald’s, that makes me full of hatred.

Now I’m no big customer of McDonald’s. I used to stop by there about once a week or two for a breakfast sandwich or something. But no longer. I have no desire to give any of my money to a company that says that I’m full of hatred for wanting to be left alone. I hope you good readers will join me. And if you’d like, you can sign the petition, too.

Manning Rules Bribery Legal

Judge Howard Manning (self-appointed literal King of North Carolina Education) has ruled that it is legal to take money by force from some people and use that money to give to other people in return for services. And yes, I’m well aware that most people, upon reading that, would claim that it’s bribery and theft. But this judge, ruling for the Durham County Superior Court, has said it’s not.

Now wait — before you head out and start taking money from people — that’s illegal for you. And wait before you start using other people’s money to bribe companies — that’s illegal for you, too. But it’s not illegal when government does it — which is what King Manning has proclaimed (and you had better not question the king).

King Manning has ruled that government can take taxpayer money and use it to bribe different businesses to locate to their community — favoring whatever business that gives them the most cash. Gee, what’s next, government taking private land to give to businesses that give them cash? Oh right, that’s already happening. Oh, how I yearn for freedom.
