So, do you suppose the approval ratings of Congress and President have anything to do with anything these days? I mean, do you think there’s even ONE elected member of any national body that cares one bit about these ratings?
Sure, Congress is at 18%. That means, out of 10 people, only 8 are going to say they think Congress is doing a good job. And this is while Democrats control Congress, and yet Democrats are expected to win absolutely HUGE this fall. What does that mean?
I think it means Congress doesn’t care. I think Congressmen see these ratings and laugh with one another while they sip their champagne (paid for with tax dollars) and eat caviar. Why SHOULD they care? After all, just because you disapprove of them, what are you going to do about it? Exactly, nothing at all. There’s supposed to be a “huge” change in Congress this fall — as many as 20 seats might change hands — that’s out of 435. That’s a “huge” FIVE percent of members changing — despite the massive disapproval ratings.
No, the approval numbers are meaningless. The ruling class will not change because they don’t have to. Until there is serious revolution, the United States will continue it’s socialistic tendencies — no matter who is president.
