News from the Enforcers
The primary way we lose freedom in this country today is by having people take it from us by force. The people doing this, however, are the guilty parties. While I know 99.99% of them will say, “I’m just doing my job,” I’ll go ahead and get it out of the way now: So were the Nazis.
Recently in New York, a gang of “police impersonators” were arrested for stealing drugs from other drug dealers. They used violence to take the drugs from the drug dealers. It appears that they were doing quite a good job of impersonating actual officers. Now go ahead, tell me that “It’s not ALL police that do these things.” I know that. But I also know there are an AWFUL lot that ARE doing these things. I don’t think any more that it’s just the 10% bad apples that are doing these things — instead it appears more and more that the 10% is the 10% who are actually obeying the Constitution.
How many hours and men were used recently in San Diego arresting college students for smoking weed? Oh, but they “found” a whopping THREE guns among 96 people. And they found the evil cocaine. Other than the people arrested by the police, can you find a single person that was harmed by those 96 people? I sure can’t. But they’re arrested anyway, even though they’re not bothering or harming ANYONE else. Why? For their own good.
Just like this guy who was arrested for his own good. You see, it’s dangerous to be outside in a storm, so the sheriff had to arrest him. It was for his own good. And I’m sure you’ve heard of France wanting to invade and destroy a country “for their own good.” Where does it stop?
Why do so many people want to FORCE me to do things THEY want? Why can’t people leave one another alone? I suspect it is because so many people in this country have changed their god to government. This is one reason I wish more people would be Christians. I wish more people would follow Jesus instead of more violent gods (government, environmentalism, islam):
“So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the Law and the prophets.” (Matthew 7:12 RSV)
I just want to be left alone. Stop doing things for my own good — or for anyone else’s good. I just want to be free from government and it’s endless army of mercenary enforcers who are enforcing any law because they’re “Just following orders.”
