Catholics to NOT vote in 2008 Presidential Election

Wow, how did this news not get more coverage? The news reports are that Catholics in America will not vote in the 2008 Presidential Election. That’s a rather large voting bloc (around 60 million people) that’s going to be sitting out this fall. I’m amazed. And I’m more amazed that the news media hasn’t picked this story up.

Of course, I could be wrong — it could be that all 60 million will be voting this fall (where permitted by state officials) to vote for Chuck Baldwin. Even so, that should be news, too.

France Demands Invasion Force

So, did you see the news? France is demanding that the United States invade a foreign country. I guess that it’s okay to invade SOME foreign countries, but not others. Obviously France has clear guidelines on which countries they want destroyed and which they don’t. Apparently any country that is giving them large amounts of cash (Iraq) should not be touched, no matter what the situation in that country, but countries that aren’t giving them cash are subject to invasion. I wonder if this is a feeble attempt on the part of France to extort Myanmar into giving them money.

Geography Challenged Democrats

I know, I know — facts do not matter to Democrats. Seriously. All that matter is that you support the party positions and vote the right way. But it’s fun to point out when they are clearly factually incorrect:

From the National Democrat Senate Campaign web site:

Unlike Dole, Hagan is a long-term resident of North Carolina. She raised her three kids in Raleigh and was active in the business and civic community there.

From Democrat Senate challenger Kay Hagan’s web site:

Kay and Chip raised their three kids in Greensboro

But hey, it’s just an honest mistake, I’m sure. And remember, to Democrats, things like facts really don’t make any difference at all. What matters is emotions. What matters is how Kay makes you FEEL. In fact, don’t you FEEL sorry for her now since there was inaccurate information spread about her (even if it was done by her own party)? Doesn’t that make you want to vote for her?
