I just upgraded to Wordpress version 2.5.1. Did you notice? I didn’t think so. I just wanted to mention to those who have the Wordpress blogs that there’s a plug in called automatic upgrade. And it does just what it sounds like it does. I upgraded from 2.5.0 to 2.5.1 by just clicking “next” a few times. If you’ve got Wordpress and want easy upgrades, just add this plug-in!

Congressman Ramstad comes out in opposition to the Flight 93 memorial
Congressman Jim Ramstad (R-MN) gave a House speech this month, supporting Mr. Burnett’s opposition to the crescent design. The speech is entered in the Congressional Record here, along with supporting statements from Tom Burnett Sr. (father of murdered Flight 93 hero Tom Burnett Jr.).
That makes two Congressmen now who have come out publicly against the crescent memorial. (Tom Tancredo took the lead last November, asking the Park Service to choose a completely new design.)

Time for my official endorsements for the upcoming Republican primary election. Yes, I still vote Republican because deep in my heart I believe there might be a chance that someone else who wants freedom will run under that banner — and because here in NC, it’s illegal to run as anything other than a Republican or Democrat currently.
President: Ron Paul. Come on, you had to see that one coming. No, I haven’t joined the sooper-secret “Operation Chaos.” But if you want to, go ahead. I’m still sticking with Ron Paul. There’s no question that he’s better for freedom and this country than Juan McCain.
US Senate: Pete Di Lauro. I know, “WHO?” He’s called a fringe candidate. But know what? His opponent likes HUGE, enormous, bloated government. His opponent is insanely rich and has no clue what actual working people do. Pete isn’t any of that. And he wants to shrink government. That’s good in my book.
US Congress District 9: Sue Myrick. She really gets it. She understands the illegal alien invasion. She understands lowers taxes. I wish there were more like here to vote for.
US Congress District 10: I had a real hard time with this one. The current office holder appears to have no problems with breaking the law to get elected. He supports, well, whatever will get him more votes. However, his opponent is a lawyer. And I serious think that being a lawyer should completely disqualify you from being elected to any office higher than dog catcher. However, I’m willing to give anyone a chance. Therefore, I’m going with Lance Sigmon.
Governor: Again, another tough one. Most of the candidates are quite similar, with McCrory being the odd man out. McCrory is a moderate, through and through, on most issues (like taxes). So while he’s not perfect (he’s a damn bottom-feeder lawyer, too), but again, I’m willing to give him a chance to follow up with his conservative claims: I’m going with Fred Smith on this one.
Lt. Governor: I’m very torn here between Robert Pittenger and Jim Snyder. They both have great ideas and would do a wonderful job. However, with the support of Vernon Robinson, I’m going with Jim Snyder on this one (why do they have to be damn lawyers?).
Superintendent for Public Instruction: Richard Morgan is a Democrat closely involved with felon Jim Black. Joe Johnson is severely anti-gun. So the easy choice here is Eric Smith.
NC Senate District 39: No question here, Bob Rucho. He knows politics, and he’s pro-freedom (most of the time). His opponent is a liberal Democrat running on the Republican ticket.
NC House District 95: Another tough one. The incumbent, Karen Ray, is a serious elitist. She always appears annoyed that she has to submit herself to another election. You see, SHE knows better and you should just let her direct your life. At least, that’s the impression I get of her. On the other hand, her opponent, Grey Mills campaign is about taking money from other people and giving to to Iredell County. And he’s a damn lawyer, too. I think I’m going to vote Mills on this one, just to give him a chance.
And other races you want to talk about or know about?
