The Hatred of McDonald’s

The McDonald’s Corporation has decided they do not like a lot of people. In an absolutely classic example of total doublespeak, their corporate spokesman has said that hatred has no place in our culture; therefore they’re going to support and actively promote organizations that are full of hatred towards the majority of the American country. He goes on to say that they want to support living in a world free of harassment while they give large sums of money to promote campaigns of harassment.

I don’t often get involved with boycotts. Sure, I’ve been boycotting all Chinese-made products for many years. But it seems to me that most organizations, especially large ones like McDonald’s, don’t really care — and they’re not often affected. But this time, I’m going to get involved and hope there’s an effect. You see, the McDonald’s corporation, and all their money, are supporting organizations that want to openly deny me my rights.

And no, I’m not trying to deny others rights — that’s the difference. If you want to be gay, you just go ahead and be gay. I WILL NOT STOP YOU. However, when you try and use the force of government to prevent me from disapproving of your actions, that’s wrong, plain and simple. And the McDonald’s corporation has drawn a line — they think I am full of hatred because I don’t want to approve of people who are gay. Once again, I won’t stop them, I don’t want to force anyone to do anything. And under the current management of McDonald’s, that makes me full of hatred.

Now I’m no big customer of McDonald’s. I used to stop by there about once a week or two for a breakfast sandwich or something. But no longer. I have no desire to give any of my money to a company that says that I’m full of hatred for wanting to be left alone. I hope you good readers will join me. And if you’d like, you can sign the petition, too.

Some Animals Are More Equal Than Other Animals

I’m sorry, are you not a member of a protected class? Then you’re nothing but a slave and your purpose is to generate cash so government can protect those who need protection from YOU. Now shut up and get back to work earning money to support this pile of crap we call a government.

New Words

Every year certain words get added to the dictionary. This year I would suggest not new words, but new definitions, as created by the media:

1. Isolationist i·so·la·tion·ist. [ahy-suh-ley-shuh-nist, is-uh-] noun. When applied to registered Republicans, this means anyone who opposes troops in any country, anywhere in the world. Usually applied to politicians, any Republican who wants to remove or reduce any troop levels in any foreign country is one of these. This term cannot be applied to Democrats.

2. Rebate re·bate. [n. ree-beyt; v. ree-beyt, ri-beyt] noun. Used to indicate cash taken from one group of people and given to another group that is more lazy and typically does not work. For example: We’re going to give a tax rebate to the “poor” who don’t pay taxes in the first place.

W’s Evil Volcano Machine

I bet Teach will get a kick of out this story (well, if he ever quits celebrating). The story is about a volcano that is and has been erupting underneath an ice sheet in Antarctica. And yes, the volcano may actually be melting ice (imagine that). Of course, I imagine in less than a week, this phenomenon will be blamed on president Bush (like Katrina).

In addition, the researchers are quick to point out that this volcano couldn’t possibly be melting any other ice sheet on the planet — because that’s due to warmer oceans. No mention is made about the possible connection between a volcanic eruption under and ice sheet and warming temperatures. But hey, the man-made global warming myth religion must go on! You there, don’t commit heresy and suggest anything could warm anything else without man being the source of it!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I was out a bit this weekend, and I said those words a lot. No, I almost never heard them in return. In Wal-Mart, I could find just one roll of wrapping paper that actually had the word “Christmas” on it. Most people just fell back to the “Have a Nice Day.” I told them “Merry Christmas” anyway. Funny thing — ONE place I went the employee there actually said “Merry Christmas.” Know where it was? The cleaners where the folks who work there are recent (legal, I’ve asked) immigrants from Korea.

Merry Christmas!

I’m sorry, are you offended? If you are, I’m terribly sorry that you’re offended by what you celebrate. What’s that? You don’t celebrate Christmas? I bet you do.

Did you give anyone a gift this month? That was a Christmas gift. Did you accept any gift other than a birthday gift this month? That was a Christmas gift, not a winter solstice gift. That includes any bonus you received from work. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, I suggest you give it back.

Are you planning on working on December 25th? If you are, that’s Christmas Day (not winter holiday). If you’re not working a normal schedule, you are celebrating Christmas. If you are offended by “Merry Christmas,” I suggest you head on in to work. And yes, that especially includes you, government employees.

Do you have an evergreen tree up? Do you tell your kids about Santa Claus? Do you have any outdoor lights of any sort? That’s Christmas (not a holiday tree).

Do you work for a business that is seeing increased sales? If you are offended by “Merry Christmas,” I suggest you take a few extra days off and return a few of those sales dollars — that’s people buying presents for Christmas, and you are participating by accepting those sales. If you’re offended, I suggest you stop all sales for the month so as to not participate in Christmas.

Of course Christmas isn’t really about all that stuff. I think what offends those who don’t like those words is the actual message of Christmas. I think people who are offended don’t like the idea that someone came to earth and died for them. It really bothers people that they might actually be held responsible for their actions. I think it bothers people that there really is an absolute right and wrong — because I bet they’re doing wrong and they know it.

Christmas is a time of joy and a time of giving. Just remember, it’s really about God giving His son to the people of this planet. So have a good time. Enjoy the season. Say “Merry Christmas.” And if you’ve time in this busy season, don’t forget to thank anyone you might think needs thanking.

More “Hate” Crimes

I hate the term “hate crimes.” Does that make me a criminal? Am I automatically guilty? Honestly, I cannot see any difference at all between the terms “hate crimes” and “thought crimes.” And that scares me. In a “traditional” crime, someone is injured. Let’s say person A punches person B in the face and breaks his nose. Presuming there’s not other circumstances involved, then person A should be punished for battery — whatever the punishment is for battery in that locality. I see no reason that the punishment should be more or less severe if person A or person B had different color skin. Why should that be an issue at all?

But in today’s politically correct world, where many black hucksters live to punish whites for, well, being white-skinned, it IS the case. People are being punished today, not even for actually hating, but for the perception of hating. In other words, if person B so much as even thinks that person B didn’t like him because of his race, skin color, religion, etc., then person A gets punished even more! That’s completely and totally wrong.

And it gets worse. How about this case where a parent apparently clearly put words into the mouth of a NINE YEAR OLD. Then the 9-year old was suspended from the penal institution known as “public school” for agreeing with the parent and saying the dreaded words, “brown people.” Keep in mind, the kid didn’t just out and say, “I don’t like brown people” — he was goaded into agreeing with a parent. Hey, thought police, it’s a free damn country — if I want to say, “I don’t like brown people,” that should NOT be a crime in anyone’s imagination. If you think it should be, as the government did in this case, you seriously do not comprehend the concept of freedom and should not be allowed to be part of the government.

And no, it’s not just in America. In Brazil, it is highly likely that gays will win a lawsuit against someone who said, “I am opposed to the homosexual behavior.” Hey, that just cannot be allowed. Don’t worry, there’s lots and lots of people in America that would agree with that — and like the people who would jail me for saying “I hate brown people,” they’d also like to jail me and others for daring to publicly disapprove of homosexuality.

These actions, and these movements are horribly anti-freedom. These are government officials and activists groups that want to use any and all power they have to shut up speech and actively punish anyone who would disagree with their ideologies. And these people are seriously dangerous to America and all it used to stand for. Speak up, when you see and hear these people. Let them know that they are the evil enemy, not those who want freedom.

Alaska Air: Gay Discount Airline

So hey, did you know that if you claim that you’re gay that Alaska Airlines will give you a discount? Or you can look at this in the opposite direction and note that if you’re not gay, you have to pay more to fly on this airline. Is that okay with you? I mean, could you do it for other things?

Think I could sell things at my store and ask people at the register, “Hey, if you say you’re queer, I’ll give you 10% off.” Maybe I could say, “Hey, if you say you hate women, I’ll give you a 7% discount on all your purchases today.” What if I said, “You there, tell me Mohammed is gay and I’ll give you 10% off right now.” Is there anything wrong with any of that?

Now personally, I don’t think any of those actions are illegal. In other words, government should not care, nor be involved in any of those transactions at all. But want to bet they would? How long do you think I’d last as a store if I were doing that in a big city? I bet government officials would be in to visit me in no time. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone tried to charge me with a hate crime or sue me.

But apparently when Alaska Airlines decides to base their prices on perceived actions of people who like to have sex with members of their own sex, that’s perfectly okay — but only because they’re giving a discount to gays. Imagine what would happen if they were charging gays more. Just be aware of this policy if you happen to be flying Alaska Airlines and are bringing your children with you.

Words Are Dangerous

And should be banned. At least that’s what publishers in England think. The publishers have actually told a children’s book author that writing about a fire-breathing dragon is dangerous. The publishers are afraid of the government — and that they might get in trouble with “health and safety regulations.”

Well, that’s England for you — no hope, no freedom. You do what the government says or else. They’re not even allowed to draw a picture of a boy on a ladder because that’s now, apparently, against the law. I wonder if people in England are allowed to read anything at all without asking government’s permission. You should be terrified of any government that has that much power over people.
