Quality Government Health Care

So, you want government health care. Hope you don’t want to live.

How would you like to be in need of a few drugs, but be told you can’t have them? And no, even if you have money, you’re not allowed to buy them. Instead, the government explains to you that they will pay for you to be killed, but they won’t pay for drugs that will heal you. And again, when government is running health care, there are NO other options (because those would be illegal).

Get ready, because that’s the case. And no, not in England or Canada, but here in the socialist mecca of Oregon. This IS exactly what government health care will look like: Giving drugs to kill people will always be covered. If you have medical skills or the ability to treat people, I suggest you consider how you will set up a black market now because both presidential candidates and the Democrats in Congress honestly want to set this system up nationwide.

Right to Live In YOUR House

So, do I have the right to live in your house? No, I’m not talking about whether we can come to an agreement. No, I’m not talking about if I can or cannot pay you a price you want. I’m just wondering if you think, because I want to, that I have a right to live in your house. How about if I’m old? What if I’m sick? Then is it “fair” for you to tell me that I can’t live in your house, on your property? Gene Robinson thinks I do. In fact, he’s willing to “fight” to absolutely FORCE you to allow me to live in your house, whether you want me to or not.

Oh, but isn’t Gene “nice?” He has testified in a legislature to ensure that people are allowed to live on private property, no matter what the owner of the private property has to pay. In other words, if Gene has his way, I can show up at your house and not only do I have the right to live there, I have the right to eat your food AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

No, Gene isn’t nice. Gene is a miserable, incredibly selfish bum. But of course he doesn’t think he is, and his adoring socialist fans in the media love him and his ideas that property owners should have no right to say who they support and pay for on their own property. And Gene isn’t helping anyone but himself. Again, he’s very, VERY selfish. If he wanted to “help” his mother, why doesn’t Gene let her live in his own damn house? No, Gene, you’re not helping anyone but your own damn lazy self who doesn’t want to be put out into helping his own mother. Instead Gene wants to FORCE lots and lots of OTHER PEOPLE to help his mother so he can go hang out with his pals and do whatever he wants, unhindered by the “burden” of caring for his own mother. And Gene admits his own mother wouldn’t do this to him. Hey Gene, did your mother complain when she had to take care of you? How selfish and miserable do you have to be to absolutely refuse to help your own mother?

And of course, Gene has a slimy bottom-feeder (lawyer) trying to help him FORCE the private property owners into paying for his mother AND trying to bilk them out of $20,000 in bills that Gene refuses to pay. The $20,000 is money that Gene signed a contract to pay and agreed to pay in exchange for the people taking care of his mother. But no, Gene is so selfish, he won’t even pay that money HE AGREED to pay. Instead, he wants YOU to pay for his mother (via your tax dollars) and he’s not willing to do a damn thing for her except yell and scream at everyone else. Hey Gene, how about you spend more time taking care of your own mother and stop trying to tell everyone else what to do?

Prejudiced Government

So you may have heard recently that the government of Sarasota has decided to discriminate. They have decided that based on the actions of a certain group of people that they refuse to hire those people. Oh, it’s not based on sex or gender, it’s based solely on actions of the individuals. And I really don’t have a problem with that. Of course, they already employ way too damn many people, but governments and individuals should be able to make decisions about who to hire based on the potential employee’s actions.

So tell me why I can’t refuse to hire someone who is gay?

The city of Sarasota claims that they won’t hire people who smoke because these people drive up medical costs. The city claimed that the person who smoked costs an additional $4,611 in medical bills each year. People who have AIDS, primarily because of their sexual actions, cost between $71,000 and $425,000 A YEAR in direct medical costs. And those who have HIV cost about $14,000 a year. Oh, and before you claim it’s not a gay disease, be sure and check the numbers. At least 56% (and increasing yearly) of those who have AIDS are gay and got the disease based on their actions. That’s a lot worse than smokers.

As long as governments cannot refuse to hire people because of their gay actions, government should not be allowed to refuse to hire people because of their actions in smoking. I believe I should be able to hire anyone I want, no matter what reason I give. And government shouldn’t be in the business of hiring people (for the most part), anyway. But if they’re going to do it, they should at least be fair about it. Yeah, that’s not going to happen, is it?

Government Mental Health Care

So, how much mental health care do you think you’re owed by me? No, seriously. Exactly what dollar amount of your health care for mental issues do I have to provide? According to the AP, as much as you want. Because if anyone can’t get all the free health care they want, that’s bad. No, that’s socialism and slavery.

The article linked above complains about people who “struggle” to find mental health care in NC. First, anyone want to guess the source of the problem? I know, that was an easy one — yes, it’s government. More specifically, it’s liberals and big government. Mental health used to be easy and common — when government didn’t so tightly regulate it, and private charities and churches were allowed to help. Then the liberals decided that mental institutions weren’t nice, so they were basically removed from the country. You see, those with mental problems needed to live on the streets and under bridges because then they were much better off. Of course, that also gave the liberals a natural constituency for their massive welfare problems, too.

Then the government started providing the services and spending money. Of course, government was incapable of proving any services for a reasonable cost (like anything else), so decades later government decided to send money to “community programs” to deal with the mentally ill. Does anyone else see the total insanity in that idea from the beginning? Politicians sure didn’t.

So now the government suddenly finds out that with the paltry money they’re giving to these community service groups, many whom apparently waste most of the money, that people can’t find mental health treatment. Gee, what do you know — government created yet ANOTHER problem when government tried to solve a problem. This shows once again that government simply is not capable of solving problems — government can only CREATE problems.

Want a freedom-based solution? Get government out of the way entirely. Government should not be in the business of taking money by force from people to pay for mental health treatment of others, period. Further, if you want to help mentally ill people, reduce government regulations massively on mental health. Remove government requirements on insurance for mental illness. And let any charitable organization who wants to volunteer to run a hospital and take care of people! I’m sure it would shock most liberals, but there are actually people who would do so in a minute — if government would let them. Currently, government WILL NOT.

That’s the primary reason people are “struggling” to find mental health care in North Carolina — because government provides crap for care and at the same time prevents others from providing that care.

Health Care CRISIS

Ahhhhhhh! It’s the end of the world! The sky is falling! And algore has nothing to do with it! This one is so bad! Health care spending will increase! Ahhhhhhh!

Oh, but did you happen to read these articles and listen to the talking heads carefully? Do you see exactly WHY health care spending will increase? Yes, you guessed it — government. The reason health care is expensive in the first place, and THE reason the costs will skyrocket IS government — literally nothing else can be blamed. And so, predictably, since government caused the problem, government will claim they can “solve” the problem. Like every other problem, they’re simply wrong.

One of the largest reasons health care spending will increase is because government will pay. When someone else pays for a service, and there is no direct cost to the end user, the demand will skyrocket. You don’t have to like it or agree with it, that’s a fact. Don’t believe me? Try this one:

If you could get any food you wanted and government would pay for it, how much more food would you buy? Might you grab and extra six-pack before heading home? Maybe you’d go ahead and buy that porterhouse, even if you knew you couldn’t finish it — after all, you’re not paying for it. Maybe you’d start buying the brand-name cereal instead of the Wal-mart brand because it’s all the same to you. When government, via ANY program (medicare, medicaid, Hillarycare) pays for the service, PEOPLE USE MORE.

“Oh, you’re so heartless,” I hear you say. No, I’m being realistic and based on freedom. You do NOT have a right to my labor, period. As soon as you accept that you have a right to my labor, then all semblance of freedom is completely gone. I am now a slave. And it doesn’t matter that it’s not you, personally, that’s using the whip on me. Your agents, government, are forcing me, against my will, to work for you. That’s wrong.

You simply cannot have a “right” to something that requires labor from someone else — as healthcare does. When you say that everyone has a right to healthcare, you are actually saying that government has the right to put people in slavery to work for government, whether they want to work or not. AND you are creating a very limited supply and a massive demand — it fails every single time it’s tried.

Want to fix health care? Get government out of the way. Government shouldn’t provide healthcare for any one, any time, at any place. It’s unconstitutional, morally wrong, and practically impossible. Will that hurt some people? I bet it would hurt less people than socialized government medicine — a LOT less. If government were out of the way, and the legal system were hindered, costs would drop like an elephant from a bamboo tree.

This is nothing more than a crisis created by, for, and about government. I bet the big-government people (99% of everyone in Washington) are having parties to celebrate this one. They are quite happy because they can and will use this “news” to create bigger and more controlling government. Goodbye freedom, we hardly knew ya.

Kennedy’s Health Care Crisis

Government creates problems. That’s all government knows how to do. And politicians count on the very short memory of most people so that the very same government can come “save” you from problem they created — by creating more problems. Such is the process of today’s government in an anti-freedom anti-capitalist world. If you don’t believe me, just look at ANYTHING government has done. It’s created a problem. And it’s almost always in response to a “crisis” — that government created in the first place.

John Bambenek has a great post up illustrating the current health care “crisis” that Kennedy, Clinton, and other liberals want to “fix.” Yes, they have created the problem, so they want to solve it — with your money and your freedom, of course.

Morals are Unethical

Well, according to the American Counseling Association, they are. And if you have Christian beliefs, you are NOT welcome in the American Counseling Association, nor apparently, the American Psychological Association — at least according to their positions.

And to give these group even less credibility, they openly deny facts. The ACA is now claiming that it’s basically not possible to change from being “gay” to being not gay. That’s what they claim. In fact, they are directing their member counselors to tell people that. If a person comes to a counselor and asks with help to be not gay, the counselors are now supposed to tell these people who are asking for help that it’s not possible.

Remember that next time you seek help — the ACA is not a place where people with morals are welcome.

Vaccination Recall

So, Merck is recalling over a million vaccinations. Great. I guess you’re just supposed to take your child in and have them suck that vaccination right out of the child’s body. What a load.

And this claim:

the top U.S. health official said it was not a health threat.

REALLY rings hollow. If it’s not a health threat, why the recall? And do you know how much of a scare this is putting into people with young children? They didn’t do this recall just because there’s a little danger — it’s got to be seriously dangerous if the US government is willing to issue such a blanket recall.

Before you submit to the government mandated vaccinations, I suggest you really research them and see what they do. Don’t just accept government telling you that there’s no risk — do some research and learn for yourself. I submit that you might find out that these vaccinations have MANY more side effects and potential dangers than the government or health care provider (who profits from government) are going to volunteer. You do not have to put your child at risk, no matter what the government agents might tell you. Educate yourself, people, seriously.

Edwards and Romney: Same on Healthcare

I’m sure by now you realize that there’s almost no difference between Hillary and Rudy. In fact, in one debate, Rudy was asked the direct question: what’s the difference between you and Hillary? Rudy did not give one single example (instead saying, “Oh, there’s lots of differences). Now it appears that John Edwards and Mitt Romney are alike in at least one area: they both want to force you to buy health insurance, or they will jail you.

Edwards just announced his details, while Romney has supported that in Mass, who has recently started forcing people to buy insurance. Anyone who seriously believes that the power of government should be used to FORCE people to buy insurance, or will literally jail them for refusing to is a serious danger to freedom.

Max Borders on North Carolina Insurance

I happened across this article in the Fayetteville Observer written by Max Borders. Hey, is that a real name? For some reason that reminds me of Homer Simpson the time he became “Max Powers.” Anyway, Mr. Borders really gets it. He writes about the high cost of insurance in North Carolina — and has a very quick, simple, easy way to reduce costs of insurance in North Carolina. And it will cost zero taxpayer dollars.

How? As Mr. Borders mentions — buy just giving the people permission (yes, I know, sounds crazy) to buy insurance from elsewhere. And yes, right now, North Carolina citizens are barred by law from purchasing insurance from anyone other than Democrat government-approved insurance agents. Why? “For your own good.” You see, you’re too dumb to be able to buy health insurance on your own, so the Democrats in the North Carolina legislature will tell you what you can buy. Why does that make it expensive? Two reasons:

1. Competition. Since only government-approved insurance companies can do business in North Carolina, the government can ensure there are only a limited number of choices for you, the consumer. This is what Democrats do today (they’re actually really communists, completely controlling the means of production in this industry). And the insurance companies love them for it because the insurance companies don’t have to compete! The insurance companies bribe make campaign donations to Democrat legislators, who ensure no other companies can enter the North Carolina market. Nice and cozy.

2. Mandates. As Mr. Borders points out, the state of North Carolina says that if you want to buy health insurance for one thing, you must buy it for 46 things. Seriously. In order to sell insurance in this state, you have to sell the whole package of 46 things, even if the buyer doesn’t want them! For example, I want what’s called “catastrophic coverage.” This is insurance that only covers serious injuries and things like long-term hospital stays. It doesn’t cover doctor visits, or anything else. But I am prohibited by law from buying this type of insurance. Instead, the state forces me to purchase things like “alcohol outpatient rehabilitation coverage” — even though I do NOT want it.

That’s wrong, plain and simple. But the Democrats that have run this state for over 100 years don’t care about freedom, they care about power, control, and money. As long as the insurance companies keep paying the Democrats, they’ll artificially keep the price of insurance high. Remember that next time your company tells you that the costs of insurance have gone up. It’s not the insurance companies alone doing it — they can only do it with the help of Democrats and others who hate freedom in government.
