Rights? Who Needs Rights?
Certainly not Americans. Once again, I point out that you do not have any rights, other than any rights the government chooses to grant you at that point in time. If you don’t believe me, I dare you to defy any government bureaucrat and see what happens. Remember, the primary purpose of the United States Constitution was to protect its citizens from the government. That’s it. The document clearly outlined the very limited powers that the government was permitted to have — and also outlined things the government was NOT to do to its citizens. But this document literally does not apply today.
Did you know that if you are an American citizen that happens to cross (what used to be) international borders, you completely and totally LOSE your 4th Amendment rights? If the government wants to take your private property from you, they will — and if you attempt to stop them, you will be killed. And they will take the property for as long as they want and do whatever they like with it. They’re the government. If you travel with a laptop computer across international borders, be prepared to have it stolen from you for “an unspecified period of time.” Anyone who thinks that this is a “reasonable” protection against terrorism is a total idiot.
But hey, don’t resist! If you do something like lie on the ground with your back broken in half so that you cannot move, you too might get tazered 19 times. After all, even though you’re immobile, it’s “for your own good.” And yes, the police actually say that you should not question their actions — because they were doing it to “save” the person. Isn’t absolute power wonderful?
I wonder if Dave Duffy is right — that in order for freedom to actually increase in this country, it is going to require things to get a lot worse, followed by lots of bloody violence. I sure hope he’s wrong, but as he clearly outlines — it sure seems to follow the clear, repeated path of history.
Once again, I issue my challenge: Can anyone tell me anything that you are allowed to do in America today without asking government permission? Now it has to be something you can DO, not just thinking. And it has to be something that you won’t get punished for (I can DO many things without asking government, but most of them are illegal if I do them). Keep in mind, even things like flushing a toilet are regulated by the government. And don’t even think of NOT using the toilet, because that’s hazardous waste and covered under regulations, too.

I was going to say that I can take my cats to the veterinarian. But even there, regulation abounds: licensing, biowaste disposal fees, etc.
In most places, you can’t even OWN a cat without asking government permission!
