Pelosi “Saving the Planet”
Now I realize that Pelosi’s quote about “saving the planet” is old news. But I’ll tell you, when I first heard about it, I had much the same reaction that Chuck Baldwin had — who are you, Miss Pelosi, to anoint yourself as savior of the planet? Now if you are so arrogant and self-centered to actually believe that you, personally, can save the planet, you go right ahead — but wait one minute — you “save the planet,” but leave me alone. Don’t take my money by force as you tilt at windmills. Don’t take my freedom of choice away as your personal crusade continues. And don’t crush my economic freedom in your never-ending quest. But of course, Pelosi IS a Democrat, so the only way she can or will do ANYTHING is by destroying other people. She will not use her own money, she will use MY money — and that’s plain wrong and evil.
Of course, I’ve been listening around the water cooler, and I’m absolutely sickened by the people who heard Pelosi and said, “Oh, isn’t that nice? She’s such a nice lady.” Yes, these are the typical voters in America today — utterly clueless. And yes, these people are almost as bad as Pelosi because they vote without informing themselves, and they vote against freedom.
However, after reading Chuck’s column, I also noted he made the various comparisons of Democracy to a Republic. And he tried to point out that we were a republic. Unfortunately, I think he’s wrong.
Was this country created as a republic? Without question. Is this country supposed to be a republic? Absolutely. Is this country a republic today? I don’t think so. I think we have become a democracy — and will end our existence as all democracies have throughout history. Just look around — how does one get elected? By listening to the loudest screaming voices and giving bribes to the people who support you. That is not, in any way, shape, or form, a republic.
We used to have a republic. We used to have freedom. This country simply is no longer a republic. Could it return to one? Maybe — but it would require hard work from a lot of people. And I honestly don’t think enough people care just yet.

Ogre - for the most part, America’s “Golden Age” is over, thanks mostly to demokrats and their liberul polices. You need to get over it and move on. We are now a 2nd rate Nation, filled with shitbirds from the 3rd world, and politicians from both sides that will hose this country over for a dollar. Just look at history for a moment: Spain, 17th Century, France, 18th Century, England, 19th Century, USA, 20th Century, China, 21st Century. Bottom line, when you become a “debtor” nation, you become 2nd world $hithole like the countries above.
The only hope I see for America is another civil war — real American’s v. liberal/demokrat traitors. So stock up on food & ammo, stay in shape, pick your “real” friends very carefully, and figure out, who your local enemies are.
If “Mad Max” or “The Postman” is our future, so be it — only the strong survive, and the weak & liberul will die.
I have to admit that you’re right. And I AM stocking up on food and ammo. All previous democracies have gone down in flames, usually literally. I don’t want violence, I want to be left alone. But those who don’t want to leave me alone will not hesitate to initiate violence against me. If I can find Galt’s Gulch, I’ll go there and I’ll help man the borders against the tyrannical American government.
