East County, CA: Screw You

East County, CA government is clear: they don’t like you, and they don’t believe you have any rights. They don’t like churches, and they don’t like people going to church. They don’t like people living in their area that live in mobile homes, either. And the county government bureaucrats — keep in mind, these are actual people (even if they sold their soul long ago) — would rather people be homeless than have freedom to live in their own homes.

This is a story from the liberal land of California. The county, acting on an “anonymous” tip (which should be illegal in itself) “found” that people were living in violation of zoning ordnances. Therefore, the city wants these people out on the street. No, really. The people are in “illegal” trailers, minding their own business. They’re not harming anyone. But their trailers haven’t been moved in 90 days, so out onto the street they will go. Nope, nothing else matters.

The county is also working hard to shut down a church because the county would rather that alcohol be sold in that place. Since the church serves the people of the trailer park, the government demands that the building sell alcohol to the residents. Why? Because government says so, and for absolutely no other reason.

Don’t you wish there were somewhere on the planet where people could go and own property and be free? I sure do.

  1. As far as I’m concern, we need to kick Kalifornia out of the Union — they are no longer Americans and their values are in the cesspool. Let it burn, let it be destroyed in Earthquakes, let them all rot in their Godless hell.

  2. Oh, there’s no question that overall the government of California simply is not interested in freedom or the concept of a free country. The government there despises personal rights of all kinds.

  3. This isn’t just a California problem.

The 1st thing someone should check is which developer has been eyeing property in the area. Developers use local governments and police to get rid of the lifelong locals so they can come in and get land for development.

I had this happen to me in Frisco, Tx (suburb of Dallas). When the big city and suburbs had grown out to meet Frisco in came the developers. All of the sudden, the police were all over the place arresting the locals for things that they had been doing peacfuly for a lifetime.

I have no knowledge if this is the case in your linked story but I would be willing to bet a little money that in some way it is related with developers or officials looking to make some dollars in legue with developers.

  4. I wouldn’t take that bet. Right now in Charlotte, they’re doing something similar. The CITY is trying to “purchase” a store that sells cigarettes and alcohol (and lots of other stuff). The CITY claims they want to “improve” the neighborhood. The store does NOT want to sell. The CITY is trying to take the store, anyway. And you can bet a LOT of money that one of the politicians on the city council is getting a cash payout from the developer who is going to get the land from the city to “improve.”
