Why did the Three Pigs move?
The same reason so many other people are being forced to move:

Man, I’d like to buy that cartoonist a beer! That really hits close to home for me!
Hehe. In SO many places. It’s one reason government wants regional government — to stop people from escaping.
Yep. The taxes were too high.
I kind of like the sticks, actually.
If I check my lottery tickets and win big… I’m buying my own country! Would you like to run for King of Freedomberg? LOL!!!!
I like the sticks, too, Cao — not only because there isn’t so much government there!!!
And can’t you just appoint me king? I promise I’ll be a benevolent ruler!
OK, done… if I win, you are the appointed King!!! Free beer for everyone at your Coors-ination!!!!
Looks like I’ll be with the pigs before too long!
Nothing wrong with that!
Property Tax vs. Sub-Prime Mortgage Rates:
The ‘housing bubble’ (such a ***** term for it) has ‘inflated’ due to increasing interest - causing more people to default on their loans.
At least that is how it seems to me. And the disparity amongst brackets in the Property Tax [funny how the Low to Middle class always gets **** on].
But as long as people are willing to take on the payments and lenders are willing to risk loaning the money, that’s freedom. Now when the government steps in to “save” the people or the companies, that’s plain wrong.
It is criminal what many mortgage companies were doing over the last 10 years or so (ignoring the rules), and they should pay for it. It was their greed and failure to adhere to fair lending practices that created this mess to begin with. But bailing them out is not right, but of course that doesn’t stop our Government! Like you were saying Ogre, they fix one problem and create 10 more, many worse than the original.
Freedom would be people teaching their children fiscal responsibility. It would be the government setting an example in that area as well. The problems stem from a society that has produced the “Me Want Instant Gratification” generation! That is why there are so many “deniers” running around looking for a “Socialist Utopia” to take care of them and wanting to avoid any and all discomfort in the process. It’s ridiculous!
Now, do you want me to tell you how I really feel???? LOL!!!
Heh. If one or two banks went bankrupt because they made bad loans, I don’t think that would be a bad thing.
I don’t either Ogre. There are 2 or 3 mortgage companies that need to go belly up too, but it’s not happening. I wonder why???? I’ve been smelling a rat on that deal for months now.
The Federal Reserve won’t let them fail. The same Federal Reserve that Ron Paul would like to get rid of!
The same Federal Reserve that did away with the Gold Standard??? That is another government who haw that has messed things up too! I need to look that up again, as I can’t remember what year that happened, only that it was and still is a bad idea.
Again — a position that Ron Paul supports: getting rid of the Federal Reserve and backing money with actual things of value (gold and silver).
