Public Schools Are Crap
Because they can “defend” their stupid decisions. I know some people think they can be saved, but I honestly believe they are beyond hope. Let them die a natural death. Start with removing all federal funding for education (and every single federal rule about education) — because that’s not actually in the Constitution anywhere. Then let states figure out how much THEY want to pay for this crap.

Ogre, is this your weekly “Mr. Obvious” post? hehehe!!
I can’t get the story to show on the work puter, so I’ll have to read it when I get home.
By way of example, FOX News carried the story this morning of a public school that actually took action against a parent for child abuse.. it seems that one of their liberal members had been told by a frikkin” psychic that this was the case, so they went on the word of a fortune teller and had them arrested. So out of the blue, the parents are on the defensive against an out of control pack of wolves with an agenda and no clue. Welcome to the Brave New World of “education”………
There are valid reasons to fear government schools. They are honestly horrible, evil places of destruction. I’m not saying that to generate a reaction, I’m saying it because it’s true. I honestly have a very difficult time coming up with anything good to say about government schools. I cannot find anything that they do to lift up anyone or help society in any productive manner. And yes, if you permit your child to attend one of these places of worship, you have, in the eyes of the law, absolutely zero rights remaining. None.
If you have children and you ever see a member of the bureaucracy at your door, your best and clear option is to run and hide as fast as you can. If you do not, you will either lose your children or end up dead — government has shown again and again that there are no other possible outcomes and government is more than willing to end it either way. And no, piddly things like “evidence” and “justice” and “presumption of innocence” absolutely do not exist in this world.
I came out of the public school system with a lot of self-deststructive habits, so I am kind of bias against public schools in general.
Having said that, It seems there are a lot of students that seem okay with the public schools.
It seem I was always around the wrong crowd, but maybe there were not good crowds in the my public schools.
The thing everyone should remember is:
* The teachers are NOT gods.
* The administrators can and DO make mistakes.
* If a child has a complaint about his school, listen to him/her.
* Never, ever assume a child is lazy, because he/she is behind in class.
* If you are a public/private school teacher, remember…someday you will answer for how you TREAT YOUR STUDENTS.
You have to realize that when students come out of public schools with any knowledge, it’s DESPITE of the school. Students do NOT learn how to learn — if they do, it’s because they do it on their own, in direct opposition to the school.
The biggest thing to remember is the overall purpose of public education — it’s to spend money, period. That’s all. Honestly. It’s about getting more cash by having more students, so the school can spend more money on whatever they like. Every year they claim to need more money for salaries, buildings, and supplies. They never produce any results, they just want more cash which leads to more power.
