Vacation Week #2

Oh, did I forget to mention last week that this wonderful vacation from the world is lasting two weeks? I wonder if the world still exists after last week. Knowing this isn’t posting for quite some time from the time I’m writing it, I wonder if gas prices have continue to rise and wheat and corn prices as well. Ah well, just be prepared, I always say.

So this week I’ll be relaxing with the family in an undisclosed location. There will be much doing of nothing and lots of reading of all sorts of relaxing books. But yes, once again this week, there will be wonderful and thoughtful (and accurate) commentary here. Be sure to stop by every day to read the latest here. And comment away, I will read them all upon my return! And this week I’ll have electricity so I might stop by and visit algore’s Internet. If not, I’ll be sure and be back next Monday, ready to battle government for freedom again.

  1. Have fun!

On the bright side, Pat McCrory says he supports drilling off the coast of NC.

  2. Ogre… ouch, ouch, ouch… hope you are having a good time! I just read this post and got absolutely GREEN with envy. I haven’t taken a real vacation since the summer of 1990! I spent 10 glorious days at Nags Head!!!! Since then I have made trips to Virginia (weekends) and a 5 day trip at Christmas to Florida, but no real vacation. Enjoy some of that Peace and Quiet for me! And make it back safely too!

  3. Hope your next week is as scrumptious as the last!

The biggest perk of being a school teacher (yes, I finished the conversion. I am a computer geek no longer. Does that make me the enemy now?) is the two month stress free vacation. I mean, I’ve taken time from my old job, but I was always tied to the blackberry.

  4. Mayor Pat favors anything that will get him votes.

And Birdwoman, you only become the enemy when you completely join them. I’ve considered becoming a school teacher just to mess with the system — carrying a Bible around all day and such. Feel free to sabotage the system from within!
