Spot the CMS Bureaucrat

Let’s play a game, shall we? Let’s play “Spot the Communist Bureaucrat.”

Person 1: Gee, I really need some more money. It will go to good causes and help kids.
Person 2: Okay, that sounds good. I know where we can get our hands on loads of cash, no questions asked.
Person 1: Excellent. I need $369 million.
Person 2: You need what? I just gave you $341 million last year!
Person 1: Yeah, well, I spent that. And I need $369 million this year. Now.
Person 2: Tell you what, I just don’t have that kind of money. I’ll give you $351 million.
Person 1: RACIST! CHILD-HATER! This is going to mean MASSIVE cuts! How can you CUT the budget of the school system?!? You’re going to SHUT DOWN schools! Why do you insist on draconian CUTS in my budget!
Person 2: Your “salary” is over $250,000 a year. And with benefits, you make nearly half a million dollars.
Person 1: You are forcing me to CLOSE SCHOOLS with your budget cuts! You don’t care about the children!
Person 2: The number of your employees earning over $100,000 increased by TWENTY-NINE percent this year.
Person 1: Your devastating CUTS in the budget is going to mean that children SUFFER. Your reduction in the budget is going to have a negative impact on the children!
Person 2: Your budget actually increased. It went up ten MILLION dollars.
Person 1: THE SKY IS FALLING!
Person 2: And last year we gave you a $25 million increase.
Person 1: That’s fine. CUT the budget. But the CHILDREN WILL SUFFER. I will ensure they do.

Of course, Person 1 is Peter Gorman, super-bureaucrat. Yes, his annual compensation is nearly $500,000. And yes, he 91 bureaucrats that work for him earning over $100,000 a year. And yes, he is honestly claiming that an increase of $10 million is actually a “cut.” Of course, only slimy, self-serving, selfish bureaucrats can actually make that claim with a straight face. Then again, he makes his living off the backs of working people, so I’m sure he sleeps fine at night while lying to people during the day.

  1. Ogre - whoa there big fellow. You mean Wake County pays its worthless “Super of mis-Education” more money than Char-Meck? What is the world coming too. At least, due to his lying to the State Board about classroom over-crowding, the “State” is docking his State portion of his pay. His solution, along with the demokratic scum on the School Board is to go to more mandatory year-round schools in non-minority areas, and bus in more poor folks. Oh, and he wants more money for gas & diesel fuel for “diversity.” Now “diversity” in Wake County means busing poor children into rich children’s schools, and somehow by MAGIC, the poor children are supposed to learn better. We keep asking for the research/proof and all we are told is to “trust us,” we are educators and we know best. I won’t even go into the massive tax increases the School Board wants.

  2. It all makes sense if you understand the purpose of the bureaucrats in education. They exist to get money, period. They have no other function. They do not believe in anything else. I have read more than one report from these “educators” that openly claim that they cannot ever have enough money.

The honestly do not care about students. They do not care about learning. They do not care about educating or teaching. They care about getting and spending MORE money. They do not care that the idea of “smaller class size” has ZERO effect on learning. That does not matter. They support, quite literally, ANY program that means they get more cash, period.

I’m not saying that there’s not teachers who care about learning — just that those teachers are in a place where they don’t belong (and most of them figure that out eventually).
