Latest on the “Polygamist Sect”

Or, if there were more fair, unbiased reporting, “The Latest on the Unlawfully Detained Religiously Persecuted in Texas.”

The message is clear. If you participate in a religion that the government does not like, you have no rights and you have no freedom. Keep in mind, those who support these actions by the government — there still have be ZERO people convicted of any crime. There has been NO due process of law. There has been nothing but idle speculation of what “might” have happened. And again, there have been NO juries empaneled and NO evidence submitted to a court of law. Yet the punishments have started and continued.

The state is now investigating the apparent “crime” of building buildings. No, there’s no reason to investigate, other than the state doesn’t like these people. No one has suggested that anything wrong has happened — but the state says they are determined to find out how these people got money to build a building. That’s insane in a free country. That’s blatant persecution and harassment. But that’s today’s government.

And now, government is getting ready to decide:

what the parents must do to get their children back or whether their parental rights will be permanently severed.

Once again, in case you missed it — NO ONE HAS BEEN CONVICTED OF ANY CRIME. This is the same state that has seized children of adults and will not give them back. In the VAST majority of these cases, there isn’t even any suggestion of a crime!

This is wrong, wrong, wrong on every level. I know some of my readers say that this religion is bad for kids. I know some claim that there has been sex with children. But there have been ZERO cases in a court of law that show this. And over FOUR HUNDRED kids and their parents have been punished — no matter how many are guilty.

Those who think that the state is right here, keep that in mind when the state shows up at your house and destroys your family without so much as a minute in court. This it the same government (different state) that accidentally convicted 3,000 people of child abuse. I wonder if you’re guilty of something right now, just because the state says so…

  1. I understand that they (State of Texas) are afraid, very afraid, of a multi-million lawsuits that are now in the winds. They are looking for any type of leverage they can use to control/stop these citizens. If you are not “following-the-money” the lawyers will certainly “find the money.”

Makes you wonder would the State of Texas (But really New Jersey) do this to the hassidic Jews of Lakewood, NJ. Not much difference from my viewpoint.

  2. Oh you can be sure the state is lying through their teeth to these parents. They are telling the parents they might see their children again. And some of the parents actually believe them.

And yes, this happens to various religions that the government disagrees with. We may not have an official state religion, but we certainly have a number of religions that are not state approved and therefore illegal.
