Wordpress Upgrade (2.5.1)

I just upgraded to Wordpress version 2.5.1. Did you notice? I didn’t think so. I just wanted to mention to those who have the Wordpress blogs that there’s a plug in called automatic upgrade. And it does just what it sounds like it does. I upgraded from 2.5.0 to 2.5.1 by just clicking “next” a few times. If you’ve got Wordpress and want easy upgrades, just add this plug-in!

  1. I’ve only found one plugin that doesn’t work with it, Wordpress PDA.

On the down side, my posts are no longer showing up on the blogs section of Google News or most of Google correctly. Maybe you as the tech guru have an idea: search “Illegal Immigration Today: Give It Up Fo Nebraska A.G.!”

The first hit is mine. But, notice that the address listed is Patrick Ruffini. Everything I have posted today shows up weird like that. But, the last post I did on the 30th shows up correctly. Very strange.

  2. PS: now some stuff is working in Google News correctly. Sigh. I think I am going to have to sue Al Gore for this wackiness. Maybe he is just upset about all the anti-global warming posts.

  3. Just blame Bush. It’s in fashion.

The only weird thing I noticed is that my main page in WP always sends me to the bottom when I first load it. Very odd.

  4. That’s a new one.

  5. Guess it didn’t happen to you. And the first block in my WP control panel/dashboard used to have something in it (I don’t know what). Now it just says, “Add your news feeds here.”
