Chuck Baldwin for President?
So, did you hear the news? Alan Keyes didn’t get the nomination from the Constitution Party — Chuck Baldwin did. I know, Chuck who? Well, if you’re a regular reader here, I’m sure you’ve seen quotes and links to his writings. He IS a Constitutionalist. How about this platform:
Baldwin said his presidency would result in the ending of illegal immigration, abortion, the streamlining of the federal government, the tapping of oil reserves in Alaska and withdrawal from Iraq.
He pledged not only to pull out of the United Nations, but to push the international organization out of New York.
He said he would phase out the Internal Revenue Service and end the paying of personal income taxes. He said the country should return to the gold standard.
Home schoolers, he said, would have the best friend they ever had in the White House.
Man, what’s not to like? Not that I’ll get to vote for him because North Carolina government prefers to select who you are permitted to vote for and he hasn’t received approval from the government. But look at the contrast:
Ending ILLEGAL immigration:
Baldwin: Yes; McCain, Obama, Hillary: No, increase it.
End Federally-approved abortion:
Baldwin: Yes; McCain, Obama, Hillary: No.
Drill in Alaska for oil:
Baldwin: Yes; McCain, Obama, Hillary: No.
Reduce Taxes:
Baldwin: Yes; McCain: No; Obama, Hillary: Increase Taxes a LOT.
Get Out of the UN:
Baldwin: Yes; McCain, Obama, Hillary: No.
Support Homeschooling:
Baldwin: Yes; McCain, Obama, Hillary: No way.
He should win, but I know he doesn’t have a chance. Instead, way too many people would prefer government punish producers so they can get cash for nothing. Oh, how I yearn for freedom.

What’s his stance on crime?
It is too bad that the lemmings are too stupid to realize what is happening in this country.
I’m pretty sure his stance on crime is Constitutional — in other words, nearly all crimes are STATE crimes, not federal. The federal government should only be concerned with crime when it crosses state lines or international borders.
And indeed, it’s amazing that this fellow will have no chance at all — despite his clear differences with the other candidates.
We at the Constitution Party of NC are currently wrapping up our Write-In ballot petition for Baldwin. So in a few weeks we will be able to let the state now if North Carolina is going to allow its citizens their inalienable right to vote, specifically for Baldwin. Visit the Constitution Party of NC’s website at http://www.ConstitutionPartyNC.com to learn more about Baldwin and the Party. Also of note, is that we will be holding the Constitution Party of NC 2008 State Convention in Charlotte, NC on August 22-23, 2008. Please visit the web site for more information and to RSVP. Thanks.
It’s it amazing how hard you have to work just to ask government PERMISSION to be able to vote?
Thanks for the link. I’m not sure if I can make it to the convention, but I’m going to try and move some things around on my calendar so I can make it there.
Yes, your absolutely correct. It is sad how much the citizens have to do, and to think that that is one of the things that separate us from a dictatorship is the right to vote, yet we don’t actually have the right, just the privilege depending on how you affiliate. You can learn more about the ballot issue, even though it seems you probably already now a lot about it, at the North Carolinians for Free and Proper Elections at http://www.NCFPE.com. It is a state PAC dedicated to a free and equal North Carolina ballot, as well as the preservation of the Electoral College system.
Great link. We need to elect people who will work to open ballot access. Right now the only candidates I know of that will do that (that are legal candidates) are libertarians. Getting just one in office will help!
