Ron Paul in North Carolina

Two Chances To See RON PAUL In North Carolina

… THE MOVEMENT HAS JUST BEGUN! …

Dr. Ron Paul Is coming to North Carolina this Friday May 2, 2008 for
two public events. He will be speaking first at UNC-Chapel Hill in the
afternoon, from 3:30-5:00 PM. Later, he will speak in the early
evening at Duke University in Durham, from 6:30-8:30 PM.

Dr. Paul’s campaign effort is not just about the Presidency.
Supporters understand that he has helped spark a movement to restore
the Republic to a true Constitutional basis. Thus, at each venue Dr.
Paul will be conducting a book signing of his most recent book, The
Revolution: A Manifesto.

The 3:30 PM event will be at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Carrol Hall, which
seats about 500 people. Parking is very limited, so come early. The
UNC event is free; however, ticket reservations need to be placed at:

The 6:30 PM event will be held at Duke’s Reynolds Theater (in the
Bryan Student Center), which accommodates about 600 people. Parking is
easy, as there is a parking deck adjacent to the student center and
theater. This promises to be a very special event, because Dr. Paul is
a graduate of the Duke Medical School.

Tickets for the Duke event can be picked up for free from the
Reynolds Theater box office in the Bryan Student Center. Reserving
online will guarantee a seat for those unable to pick up tickets in
person beforehand. Online reserved tickets cost $3 dollars since the
university box office charges for processing electronic ticketing. No
portion of this money goes to Dr. Paul.

See the following weblink for Duke Reynolds theater ticket
reservations, and click the icon that reads “All Events” to see
the listing for Dr. Paul’s talk. This webpage also has a link to a
campus map, at the top right hand corner. Look for the Bryan Center
building because Reynolds Theater is inside the Bryan Student Center.

This website will give you traveling directions to the Duke venue:

Please note that these events occur during finals week at both UNC-CH
and Duke, and officials at both campuses have asked that we respect
their need for quiet and order during this time. We are working to
arrange a location (likely between UNC-CH and Duke) for public
displays of affection for Dr. Paul and his message of hope. Details
will be forthcoming as available.

Don’t miss this chance to hear Dr. Paul in person … Hope to see
you all there!

  1. Truly an opportunity to excel. However, as a male, I would be afraid of being sexually assulted at UNC-Chapel Hill, even in daylight. Therefore it looks like Duke for me, then get the heck out of Durham, because it is not safe at night either.

Geez, why couldn’t he spend an extra day and come to NC State? NC State is still a land-grant college and I think he will get a much bigger showing there, i.e., college students who have to “work” to get thru college.

    Fight on, Dr. Paul

  2. Good points! UNC-Chapel Hill is one of the most liberal and dangerous (but I repeat myself) places in the state. If he really wanted to do well, he could have tried a community college — but then I think he wanted more citizens to show up…

  3. I’m dissapointed that Dr. Paul has not scheduled more stops and book signings in NC. He is still the only legitimate candidate running, and he has my support. McCain is an affront to any true conservative and an abhorrent to any POW.

  4. Indeed, I wish he were appearing closer to Charlotte. Then again, I’m sure he’s quite busy right now. Juan indeed has no clue what a “conservative” used to be. Today’s “conservative,” by the Republican National Committee definition, is one who conserves extra tax money so government can grow larger.

  5. It was on the Sean Hannity Show that I heard a caller trying to show that a true conservative would be an environmentalist because conserve and conservative are etymologically linked. I love the liberal logic. Always good for a laugh. :)

  6. Liberal logic is literally nothing more than how a liberal feels.
