Christianity Outlawed
I know that there are many who cringe when they hear the words, “War on Christians.” I know many just think it’s silly overreaction. There’s also many who would respond with, “But that’s nothing compared to country XXXX.” With the latter people, I agree. Being a Christian in China or North Korea will get you killed. But I do believe that America is headed down that very same road at breakneck speed. A few of just today’s examples:
If you are a government employees and do no more than posses a Bible while you’re at work, you will be fired. That’s it, nothing more. Oh, he may not have been fired yet, but he told the school he’s not removing HIS personal Bible from the classroom. And despite being a teach for 20 YEARS, he will be fired, no question about it. The school has made it’s position clear: it cannot and will not stand for any signs of Christianity in the halls of the school. Other religions are fine, mind you, just not Christianity.
Elsewhere, a foolish judge has declared that Jesus is unconstitutional. No, really. If a government building DARES to have a photograph of Jesus, it’s going to be removed. If not, someone’s going to jail (gee, sound like North Korea yet). Oh, AND the taxpayer’s going to give cash to the ACLU because the picture was in a government building.
In yet another place, federal judges have decided that if a government employee merely bows his head while others are praying, that’s a jailin’, too. Yes, you read that correctly: if you are a government employee and you bow your head at the wrong time to a Christian prayer (even if you’re not even engaging in prayer yourself) YOU MAY BE JAILED. How’s that for freedom of religion in America today?
And if you refuse to participate in other religious activities that are promoted by the school that are in direct opposition to Christianity, you will also be punished. If you’re a student and refuse to join in open disapproval of Christianity, you will be forced to repeat that grade!
See, the problem here is that government today has not only adopted a religion of their own and are actively promoting (in spite of the Constitution which actually prohibits that activity), but government has also gotten so large and invasive that it’s extremely difficult to find somewhere that government doesn’t control.
As a refresher, from the United States Constitution, which is supposed to be the law of the land:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
I honestly do not understand how any judge can say that bowing your head during prayer is a Congressional law establishing religion. How can a judge claim that the mere presence of a Bible is Congress making a law establishing religion? How is a drawing of Jesus a Congressional law establishing religion? How is refusing to support direct opposition to your own religion NOT prohibiting free exercise of religion?
Any judge who makes these ruling and claims to follow the Constitution is just plain lying. The Constitution is quite clear. And the judges and government agencies making these decisions are in clear, blatant violation of that Constitution, even if they won’t admit it. Oh, how I yearn for freedom. Oh, how I yearn for freedom of religion. I yearn for a government that doesn’t establish their own religion and force others to follow it. I yearn for a government that actually allowed people to freely exercise their religion, instead of being threatened with firings, fines, and jail time simply for the crime of exercising the Christian religion.

Our nation has gotten so far away from the principles of our Founders that only a revolution can return us to what we should be here in America.
And it seems more and more that it’s going to be a violent revolution. Maybe not — the Free State Project hasn’t given up yet.
