Government Employees
I have no idea why it’s news that government employees are wasteful. After all, that is what government does — it takes money from people who work and earn it, and it gives money to it’s “employees.” After all, “The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of an expanding bureaucracy.”
I guess people are bothered to find that government employees spend $2.6 billion on “their” credit cards. That is, keep in mind, $2.6 billion that people worked and earned that these bureaucrats then spent on whatever they wanted. Oh, and you can be sure that the bureaucracy is actually defending these expenditures. These bureaucrats NEED to attend conferences at casinos. They NEED to buy calendars and planners for $2000 apiece.
This is what you get when you have a massive government, period. Sure, try and explain it’s just a few people. I won’t believe you for a minute. This IS government. Government IS waste. And it’s only a matter of time before it collapses upon itself — just like Rome.
We do have one or two modern-day Ciceros who are willing to tell it like it is. But like Cicero, they are marginalized and ignored. Can the decline be stopped? Sure it can — but there are literally hundreds of thousands of government bureaucrats like those highlighted here that will strongly oppose any changes — and they have the force of government on their side, and they’re not afraid to use it.

I just read about all this at FOX news.
How effin convenient is this?? And do people care? Probably- but about as much as they cared when the Pentagon was found to be purchasing $200.00 toilet seat covers too: it becomes something to whine about and even joke about. But it’s really so much more than that. It’s a crime. It’s ripping off the peasants. It’s stealing money for things that have nothing to do with the national defense of this country; or the better of the people.
Gah.
That’s it — most people DON’T care. The vast, vast majority of people simply cannot comprehend that money was EARNED by someone who worked for it; TAKEN from them by force; and then given away and spend by these slimy people called bureaucrats. AND NO ONE CARES.
There was more on this today. One guy had gifts for his “male lover” and mortgage payments, and other high end stuff to the tune of over 600K!!! This is just ridiculous, but you are right, it will all fall through the cracks as no one cares.
It’s not their money, so they don’t care.
And the people who actually worked for that money never make the connection for some reason.
