Sadly true. I have no idea what their intellectual rationale is.
Simple: to advance communism. Christianity is directly incompatible with communism. Islam can co-exist in a communist society quite easily.
Agreed., both Islam and communism are totalitarian by nature.
Of course, once they are established within a commie country, the Muslims would do their “peaceful” terrorism number to try to coerce the rest of the population into Sharia law.
I honestly don’t think there would be much to do there. Under communism, the government makes the rules and people obey them or face punishment. The rules are generally based on whatever the government wants them to be, as long as government continues to control all the means of production and distribution.
Under a government ruled by Sharia law, the government just decides that while they continue to maintain control of production — ensuring only the faithful muslims are permitted to produce — they can also enforce other Sharia law without any conflict at all. Those systems are made for one another: one controls the economy, the other society.
