Yup, the priorities of the government-run public school systems are VERY clear today.

When I was teaching in the public school system, I was addressed a few times by the odious speaker on the wall. Never was I instructed not to pray; however, on the few occasions when I was having disciplinary problems with contentious students, the speaker offered me no help whatsoever.

Our speakers were two-way, but I never spoke my mind. Back then, I was too young to know how to do so–and get away with it.
I’m sure that if you did, you would have been fired in a New York minute!
