Federal Egg Nog
Now I imagine most of my readers who are familiar with a kitchen know how to make that wonderful holiday concoction, Eggnog. For those who don’t understand, you might take a guess at the ingredients. Go ahead, think about it a minute, see if you can think of any one ingredient in EGGnog. I’ll wait.
Hum de dum.
Did you think of one yet? Would you be shocked if I said that something called EGGnog actually has EGGS in it? The federal government thinks that you’re not smart enough to make that guess. Seriously. They are spending your tax money to protect you from accidentally drinking eggnog without knowing it has EGGS in it. Really. The worthless bureaucrats at the FDA nearly shut down a family farm because he dared to sell Eggnog without a WARNING label that the product contains eggs. They actually claimed they wanted to
protect people with egg allergies who don’t know there’s egg in eggnog.
Yes, this is your tax dollars at work. This is the government that you have to pay such huge taxes to support. And yes, the bureaucrats saying such things actually believe they’re “just doing their job” and helping people. I think they’re miserable S.O.B.s myself.
But don’t go check your egg cartons — the ones in my fridge don’t have any warning labels that they contain eggs, either. Try and explain to me again that government serves any good purpose today.

Holy Cow…or is that Holy Chicken??? The feds need to hire “Mr. Obvious” to keep the FDA under control and informed!!!! If those folks were putting “real Rum” in their EGGnog, I could see the need for a warning label like CONTAINS RUM and may contribute to you running naked in public and acting like a rowdy Pirate!!!! But warning that Eggnog contains Eggs… That sounds like a Saturday Night Live skit!!!!
The owner tried to explain to the FDA bureaucrat: “The label says EGGNog.”
The Bureaucrat’s response? “That’s not good enough.”
When did the FDA start hiring the intellectually challenged anyway? If that wasn’t so tragic I’d be laughing my butt off!
When has government ever NOT hired the mentally challenged?
Well, the American people have elected the mentally challenged for years now, should the hiring practices of the government not follow suit???
There’s a reason I keep advocating for smaller government — even if it does mean more mentally challenged people in the unemployment line.
I worry more about the elected moron’s and what they do in the course of a day.
I worry more about the unelected bureaucrats. In theory, at least, politicians can be removed. Bureaucrats are there for life.
ooohhhh my, I never thought about that! That is scary!!!
And we have to pay them for life. In North Carolina, most of them get free health care for life, too — even if they quit and work at another job.
What’s wrong with THAT picture! I read about how Bill and Hillary bought a place in an upscale Long Island neighborhood when she decided to run for the Senate (Apparently Arkansas had a belly full of em!). There housepayment was about $10,000 a month. Enter the crew of Secret Service Agents the get for life at government expense. In order to protect the scumbags, they have to provide a residence for them on the property… the build a “guesthouse” behind their residence. Guess what the government is now stuck paying a month to house the free Secret Service Agents? You guessed it… about $10,000 a month. According to some sources, I’d have to look em up, Billary has never paid a house payment… ever. And this woman wants me to believe that she understands the plight of the average American! Hogwash!!! It’s spend, spend, spend and tax, tax, tax!!! Being on the tax end of it, I get very weary of the “give away system”.
Neither one of those two have ever held an actual job in their entire life. They are the very definition of government leeches.
Can you say “Worthless”. Fox news had Bill on Waffling this morning. He told voters in Iowa that he never supported President Bush on invading Iraq, then they showed a clip from 2005 when he said he fully supported the president! How is it the moonbats can ignore that and all the scandals. Do they think they won’t get more of the same with another Clinton in the White House????
Because their core audience is those with a sub-par intelligence and no long term memory?
I bet with the rise of Altzhiemer’s among the Baby Boomers, the Democrat Party has experienced a large “growth spurt”!!!
Between that and all the relaxation of the voter registration processes, they STILL haven’t! Go figure.
