Lawsuit Lottery Winner #4,398

Hey look: another lawsuit lottery winner! Yes, folks, allow me to introduce to you one Jose Luis and Olga Maynoldi and their ambulance-chaser, David Deehl. They are the latest to win a huge cash payout in the lawsuit lottery for doing absolutely nothing! Our ambulance chaser, Mr. Deehl, will likely get cash in the range of $8.4 million for doing nothing but slandering people! And our secondary contestants, Jose Luis and Olga Maynoldi, will get around $5 million for doing absolutely nothing but being irresponsible! Come now, step up and congratulate our contestants. Sure, they might be a little disappointed that their son nearly killed himself and he’s brain-damaged and paralyzed, but they’re happy now because a big pile of cash heals all wounds.

In this contest, their son, Gabriel Maynold, was allowed by his parents to drink a bunch of alcohol and then drove himself into a tree. Well, they’re not sure whether it was their son driving or this other kid, but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is that they found a school that had some money, and they thought that since they were irresponsible and their son did something stupid, they should get a big pile of cash! And our wonderful legal system agreed! What a great country, no?

Now those of you trying to connect these incidents with logic, just stop right there. There is NO place for logic, common sense, or even truth in the American justice system. Instead, it’s just about who has cash and who gets the cash. You see, the school has cash and the parents didn’t, so the school has to give cash to the parents. No, the party wasn’t on school grounds. No, the party wasn’t sponsored by the school. No, the school had NOTHING to do with the party. In fact, the principal of the school openly told the students to NOT drink alcohol. He even tried to break up the party! Therefore, it’s the school’s fault the kid got drunk and drove into a tree at 80mph.

The concept of justice does not exist in this country, except in rare instances. If it did, the judge would have thrown this case out and fined the ambulance chaser for bringing it to trial.

  1. Did you see where a kid made a picture in art class of a cross, put John 3:16 at the bottom, but because they consider depictions of Christian symbols up there with violence, blood, and sex, the kid was expelled for it. Of course the Satanic symbols and the Wiccan symbols some other incorporated into their art work are OK!!!
There is of course a legitimate lawsuit going on because of this. You are right, the government schools are broken beyond repair.

  2. Oops! I meant to post that comment on the previous blog entry… oh duh!!! Maybe I better sue since surely you are responsible for my confusion by writing soooo many interesting blog entries. I think that is dumb enough and illogical enough to get me a pile of cash… don’t you???

You are right Ogre… that is really dumb. I better tell my brother (a high school Principal!) he best hurry up and retire, since there soon will be nothing he can do to protect the students or the school that a court will buy into!

  3. Was Grey Mills the ambulance chaser on this one?

  4. Good question, GGG — that’s something I want to look into more about Mr. Mills.

And yes, HAM — I saw that lawsuit. And of course, there’s an incredibly simple solution that will never happen: freedom. Get the government out of the education system, and this would never, ever, be an issue.

  5. Hmmm, he was ejected from the vehicle. Now what could that indicate?

Surprised they also didn’t go after the car manufacturer for not protecting their kids, they have deeper pockets.

And why wasn’t the person that bought them the alcohol arrested for giving alcohol to a minor?

  6. Maybe they’ll eventually sue the car manufacturer for making a car without automatic seat belts. And then the government for allowing the cars to go so fast.

As for the missing arrest, well, that doesn’t get government or people any cash, so it doesn’t matter. Our “justice” system today is centered around, and only cares about, cash.
