Police State, USA
Well it seems the government education system of total acceptance is working well — based on the support of the public for the police state. After all, as one commenter mentions, “those people had it coming to them;” and “he had no right to question the policeman.”
I used to read comments, forums, and other writings about the “police state.” I used to think those people were nuts. After all, I’d learned in government schools that the police were good. We were taught that police were above the law. In fact, police WERE the law. In the courts, a policeman’s word was more important than yours — you were nothing and the police were everything. And besides, “They’re just doing their job.”
I’m sure the officers were “Just doing their job” when handcuffed and arrested a man for speaking out of turn in public. It’s not like he had the right to do that.
I’m sure the officers were just “following orders” when they handcuffed FOUR year olds for “not sleeping.”
Teton County sheriff’s Deputy Joseph Gutierrez was “following orders” when he arrested and jailed a woman for “three half smoked joints” — ensuring 5 days in JAIL and a $410 fine.
And they were “doing their job” when police broke into a home without warning at night, resulting in the death of a policeman and an attempt to have the state kill the man who was defending his home.
They’re not “isolated incidents.” It’s a definite pattern. And don’t tell me, “Oh, it’s just a few bad apples.” No, I’m sorry, it isn’t. It is the mentality that the police are always right, no matter what. And anyone who says different might even be jailed or killed as well. How else do you defend:
In the raid where a citizen mistakenly shot a police officer, the citizen is facing a murder charge; in the raid where a police officer shot a citizen, prosecutors declined to press charges.
And keep in mind — in the first case, the police officer was not innocent and appeared to be committing a crime. In the second case, the citizen was completely innocent, sitting at home, violating no laws.
In America today, the government is above people. We have a police state, even if you listen to your government school training and don’t believe there is. I challenge you to provide me any evidence to the contrary.

I’m afraid today that there’s many more bad apples than good ones left in the bunch.
