Government Forces Medical Treatment
While this article may look like satire, it’s not. And that should scare you. Here’s a portion of it:

Health authorities there have already announced their intent to essentially kidnap parents and throw them in jail, removing them from their children for up to thirty days if they continue to refuse to have their children vaccinated. This will all be conducted at gunpoint, with armed personnel and attack dogs at the ready, making sure nobody steps out of line, and suppressing any attempt at public dissent against the Orwellian vaccination policies.
Does this bother anyone at all? Go read the whole article — there isn’t even a law that requires vaccinations! In other words, the government is just doing whatever it wants, completely unchecked, simply because they have more guns. Nope, not Germany — America today.

Articles from other sources indicate that the parents brought their children to the courthouse, and that the vaccinations were the price of being permitted to attend classes in government-run schools. That’s still questionable public policy, but it’s a bit different from the “gestapo-tactics” Mr. Adams alleges in his article.
Vaccination is a very tricky question, combining as it does questions of comparative risk, public health, and personal religious beliefs. There’s no easy answer. My immediate inference is that here’s one more reason to avoid the government-run schools. Also, if I were of child-producing age — I’m not — I’d seriously consider keeping my kids from becoming known to “the system.” Who really needs a government-recognized birth certificate, anyway?
Sounds exactly like gestapo tactics — the government didn’t give people a choice or ask them to “pay the fee” for admission — they were forced under threat of jail time.
Indeed, the solution is to get government out the way! But good luck keeping your child out of the system — the hospital won’t permit it…
There are also too many reasons a child might resent not having a birth certificate when they hit adulthood. Like not being able to get a passport if they need to travel for work or school, and many functions in life require you have one.
I’m just going to be the devil’s advocate here, and state the other side of the manditory vaccine issue, so please correct me if I’m wrong or don’t make sense.
As far as vaccinations go, that particular demand is why smallpox and polio became under control during my childhood and manditory TB screens got another big public health issue under control. There will always be those who are either not responsible enough to do the right things for their children or too poor to do so, some leverage has to be used to get epidemics under control. That’s just on the plus side of making vaccines manditory.
Now on the HPV vaccine they were trying to push on young girls? … Yes, it’s a good idea, but no… it should not be demanded and made manditory. Since HPV is sexually transmitted, parents should do a better job of expressing to their kids what moral responsibility is and what the consecquences are when it’s not exercised.
But smallpox is gone! They’re forcing people to get this shot for a disease that simply isn’t here any more. That’s my problem with this. It would be different if there were some active dangerous infestation going on.
A few weeks ago, when I was listening to Michael Savage, he brought up the fact that with the illegal aliens coming into sanctuary cities (like San Francisco where he is located) there has been a re-emergence of disease, like drug resistant TB, and cholera, etc. That is kind of scary, but I know what you mean Ogre. The government shouldn’t mandate anything, except in the case of a medical emergency. Reading about the history of the Influenza Pandemic of 1918 is scary as well. My son’s great grandfather died in the Pandemic. I hate to even get a flu shot, but when I read about what happens when a virus mutates or goes out of control, well, it alters my viewpoint a bit. But if I get an innoculation for a disease, I don’t want the Government telling me I have to do it. Give me the information and let ME DECIDE.
Exactly. If there’s a real danger, I can understand. That is not the case with Smallpox today.
