I wanted you to be the first to know I filed for Lieutenant Governor today [that was Tuesday -ed] at the State Board of Elections in Raleigh. Our campaign is going great. I have been traveling all over the state meeting with voters and listening to their concerns. Everywhere I go people are agreeing with my message: State government as run by the liberal Democrats has become too big - spends too much - and takes too much from taxpayers for the services they get.

I am running for Lt. Governor because I think we can do better in North Carolina. We can reform the way state government is run and restore confidence that our tax dollars are being spent for services efficiently. We can reduce the skyrocketing cost of healthcare and take the politics out of building better roads. And we can help put a stop to the flood of illegal aliens the Democrats have allowed to come in and freeload on state services.
