Non-Government Drought Continues
In the south, there is still a drought — if you’re not government. We’re reminded quite often via the media that there is such a serious drought that no one, NO ONE is allowed to use water except for emergencies. Well, no one except government, of course.
We’re told that it’s still against the law (punishable by imprisonment or death) to water your lawn or wash your car. We’re reminded to continue to conserve water with shorter showers and less washing of clothes and towels. But if you’re part of government, you can still use as much water as you want for any purpose you want.
Those who are favored by government and who have paid cash homage to government (in the form of permits and fees) continue to use water at a higher than average rate. All the car wash businesses I’ve seen recently are doing a great business.
And I wish I had my camera with me yesterday as I watched a government truck spraying tens of thousands of gallons of water in the new construction area — to wash the road and make it look nice. You see, that’s a government contractor, so they’re not limited on how much water THEY use. Can you imagine if *I* tried to wash my driveway? I bet six police cars would show up to stop me using a few hundred gallons.
Indeed, I say again — Edwards is right. There are two Americas and the laws are different in each one. One America is the hard working people who just want to be left alone. The other America is the slovenly government who makes rules for everyone but themselves.

I think Edwards is right, too, but the divide is between single-parent families and married families. If you look at the Census Bureau statistics, you’ll see whatI mean.
There is no larger divide of “haves” and “have-nots” than government bureaucrats and non-government peons. If you are part of government, you can have quite literally anything you want — and laws and rules do not apply to you. If you’re not part of government, any law may be applied to you and force WILL be used against you to force compliance.
