Democrats vs. Lee Greenwood
Right now the North Carolina Democrat Party is complaining that Fred Smith has hired Lee Greenwood to support his campaign for governor of North Carolina. The video claims that since Mr. Smith uses his campaign money to, well, campaign, that he shouldn’t be trusted with taxpayer cash.
Wow.
The hypocrisy is incredible. The North Carolina Democrats — who have never seen a tax increase they didn’t like — the party who has doubled state spending in recent years — the party who can never spend enough money — is complaining about a Republican who is spending his own money?
Wow.
But I think this points out another big basic thought process and world view of the Democrats. You see, the money Mr. Smith is spending is money HE obtained. He obtained this money voluntarily. People freely gave their money to him, and he is spending it as he desires. The Democrats simply cannot comprehend this idea.
You see, Democrats honestly view ALL money as THEIR money. They cannot see any difference between money that was obtained by people freely giving and money that government takes by force with a gun. They really do think it’s wrong for a Republican to spend THEIR money on a campaign that THEY don’t approve of. Democrats really do have quite a different view of the world and money than those of us who support freedom.
Of course, it’s not just Democrats, there’s lots and lots of Republicans that view all money as theirs, too. It’s just that with Democrats, it’s part of the party platform. I think it’s North Carolina Democrat Party platform, Section 212.A.6.b:
All money that shall be earned in a state, town, county, or other municipality shall be the complete and sole property of government so as that government may spend as they see fit. Government may determine the amount that people who work and earn shall keep, and the rest shall be spent as directed by Those Who Know Better (aka government).
At least I think that’s what it says there.

Oh, that’s just the party platform, not actual law… yet…
From the sounds of it, it could be law already, you just don’t know it because nothing would be miraculously different! LOL!!!
And according to Democrats, things like “laws” are all relative, anyway.
