Light Bulb Ban to Increase CO2
So, do you remember the recent “ban” by Congress on the light bulb? Maybe you didn’t notice it. In case you didn’t, I’ll remind you — The Congress of the United States, in it’s infinite wisdom, made it a CRIME (which means you can be arrested, shot, or killed for violating it) to manufacture or sell incandescent light bulbs in this country. It’s a plan that will be phased in over the years, so eventually you’ll not be able to find incandescent bulbs on the Wal-Mart shelves, you’ll have to buy the dangerous mercury-filled bulbs. I don’t know where the black market will be on this, but I’ll be stocking up and selling them myself. Maybe I’ll do internet-only sales.
Either way, the reason that Congress decided to amend the Constitution to give themselves this power (what?) is because they believe that these evil light bulbs emit too much CO2 into the atmosphere and somehow warm the planet more than the sun. So to reduce CO2 and to counteract the sun, you’ll not be allowed to use the bulbs any more.
Of course, government being what government is, their government-mandated “solution” actually causes MORE problems. You see, banning those bulbs will actually INCREASE CO2 emissions. Seriously. It’s a mathematical fact that is scientifically verifiable. But this is a Democrat-led Congress — facts don’t matter, only emotions. So quick, change your light bulbs and start generating MORE CO2!

I have a sizeable store of incandescent bulbs at my house….I loathe the light made by the fluorescents.
Now Ogre you do HAVE to realize that clearly demonstrated by the “global warming” sham, these people do not listen to nor abide “scientifically verifiable” fact. Come on now.
I’m still mad because they can’t see that the Surge is working or look at the record low temps all over the globe and figure out that “Gluball Worming” is a HOAX!!! Looks like I’ll be voting for Ron Paul… there is no other choice out there! Maybe he can stop the insanity!!!!

Indeed, Jenn — it’s all about “feelings.” If it sounds good, if it has good intentions, then it’s supported by Democrats, Socialists, and the Media. Nothing else matters to them. Well, except cold, hard cash, of course (that they didn’t earn).
I will slowly be stocking up on real light bulbs.
We have some of the icky bulbs and while they arn’t to bad they are slow to light up. So if you want a quick in and out of a room it ain’t going to happen.
I haven’t used the new “bulbs” and hadn’t heard that. I need to clear out a lot of storage space in my attic. I wonder how much I’ll be able to get for incandescent bulbs once they’re illegal? I mean, I could really stock up a lot…
