Presidential Economics

Rule 1 in campaigning in today’s political arena: suspend all rules of physics and reality. Rule 2: lie.

Clinton: I will take $200 million from people who earn it and give it to people who have dark skin.
Obama: I will take $1 trillion from working people to give to people who don’t work.
Guiliani: I will create jobs because you people are too stupid to work.
McCain: I will give companies I personally like extra cash to distribute as they see fit.
Romney: I will create more jobs than anyone else because there’s people who are unemployed.
Huckabee: I will create more jobs because government already creates too many jobs, so I’ll create more.
Thompson: Vote for me.
Paul: Why should government create jobs?

This is just one reason why my support is still strongly behind Ron Paul. I’ve reached the point where I really don’t care any more about the foreign policy. Freedom is SO crushed in America that I’d like to fix America before we try and “fix” other countries.

Why in the world should ANY president at ANY time have anything to do with jobs? Where in the Constitution does it say that the responsibility of the president is to ensure that people are employed? How is it NOT vote-buying and pandering to promise to give people cash if they vote for candidates?

And most unfortunately, the majority seems to simply accept that it IS perfectly okay for government to take money that I earn at gunpoint to give to whoever else they like. Oh, how I yearn for freedom.
