Oh Happy Day! I’m very glad to see Goose Gossage inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame (Career Stats). I remember watching him play for the Yankees. That mustache was something else! Career strikeouts per nine innings: 7.47. That means he was going to strike someone out nearly every inning he pitched. Career ERA: 3.01. Wow. And as many have mentioned, his 310 saves were when you had to throw more than one pitch to get a save!
