Government Education Problems

What do you know. Government Education has a problem. And yes, of COURSE government created the problem.

The “problem” is that immature, knocked-up high-school kids are getting “unexcused absences” from school when they give birth. Oh, and the complaints “for the children” are insane. The children are “demanding” they get time to heal and other benefits from giving birth. I think I’m just going to slap the next person I hear even utter the words “It’s for the children.” Hey, how about “for freedom?” Screw the whole concept of “For the Children.”

And now the school district is spending money and having discussions about this “problem.” Oh, they can’t send the children to the alternative school for pregnant kids (yes, they actually have that) — because the immature, irresponsible KIDS don’t WANT TO GO! Guess what? I really don’t CARE what the kids want. Sorry, but it really isn’t about these selfish individuals. But the school will waste the money and come up with an expensive government “solution.”

And the most obvious solution would cost $0 and increase freedom — so government will never do that. Know what would be easy, sensible, and cheap? Just eliminate the moronic legal requirement that children attend school or have their parents jailed. Seriously. There is absolutely NO measurable benefit to legally required schooling — NONE (other than a cash benefit to the district). Eliminate that stupid requirement and all the problems would be solved, people would be more free, and it wouldn’t cost a dime.

Yeah, I know, I’m dreaming. But I dream about being free a lot.

  1. You know Ogre, the young women/girls who get pregnant in high school or middle school are motivated to get an education. Most are only motivated to survive and look to having babies as an answer. Welfare checks, WIC, and other government handouts enable them to get away from abusive environments, and other problems. This is what has created a generation of “entitlement addicted young women”. Because of our Government creating social programs that encourage young women to USE the system as a “problem solving solution”, children growing up thinking of it that way will no doubt keep the “keep the cycle going”. It all started in the 60s and it has been like a snowball rolling downhill. If we were to “pull the plug” on entitlement programs that reward a 15 year old for getting pregnant, quitting school and getting “away from problems at home” only to start a whole new generation of the same cycle x how ever many babies she has… then there could be motivation for her to finish school and go out and find a way to be a productive member of society instead of a LEACH.
And for all those bleeding heart, tree hugging moonbats that think “Oh, the poor babies will suffer”, I say that is what churches and families are for!!!! And the only thing that the “babies will suffer from” is growing up and not getting the knowledge and tools to know what it takes to make a good life for yourself!!!
If a young child grows up seeing Mommy doing class work while working a job, they will develop the work ethic they need! I may sound like a hard butt, but for those who “aren’t equipped to be parents at that point”… give the baby up so Brad-gellina can have babies to adopt here!!!! (Just kidding!) but there are many people out there on waiting lists for babies. This is soooo simple… really. But nobody is going to fix it.

  2. See, this is why I like Ron Paul. He would end welfare. People would still get help — from churches and the like — but free welfare programs would be GONE! And this problem would magically disappear — much to the chagrin of government!

  3. Many churches sponsor home’s for unwed mothers and adoption agencies. Babies would be so much better off growing up in a home where they had 2 mature parents who are ready and able to love and supply the needs of, a small child. No child has an easy time of it growing up with a sometimes there, sometimes not, immature 13 or 14 year old kid. So many young girls have and keep babies because they are so insecure they want the love of a child and the attention they get from having a baby, but alas, they find out that they aren’t equipped with patience and the sense of responsibility.

  4. And know what? People would actually think twice about having a baby at age 15 — if they knew they’d have to ask for help from someone, instead of knowing, as they do today, that they can get free cash from the welfare office. Today’s kids that have children think that they are owed free stuff. They wouldn’t feel that way if they had to ask for help from a church or other organization.

  5. The last time I had to go to the courthouse for documentation, I went by the welfare office and it blew me away!!! The young girls with babies, standing in line for foodstamps, talking about going to the Wic office next and how it takes up their day!!!! I guess maybe the government should hire more employees so they can go to these girl’s homes and deliver this stuff and babysit while they go out on dates and get pregnant again! More brains being endoctrinated into the “entitlement way of life”.

  6. But what I notice about such people today is that NONE are ashamed to be there. They’re PROUD that they’re using government to take money from me at gunpoint so they can get cash for doing nothing. That part really sickens me.

I wonder how much trouble I’d get in if I started hanging around the welfare offices just to tell people where the money comes from that’s in their checks.

  7. Ogre, I’m with ya on that. I always thougth we should recoin and old phrase “Poor planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part” to “Bad choices on your part does not constitute a fiscal responsibility on my part”!!!! Maybe even use it as an election slogan!!!!

  8. And you’d be tarred and feathered as a heartless, evil, conservative.
