Paul on Immigration

See? I told you Ron Paul was the right choice. He’s always been on the right side of immigration — he just wants to stop illegal immigration the most effective way possible — stop giving away billions in free crap to illegals. That’s been my favorite position all along.

Come on folks, take a good look. Ron Paul is the best choice for this nation. Not Romney, not Huckabee, not McCain, not even Thompson. None of them will even make a feeble attempt to REDUCE illegal immigration. In fact, I’d be willing to bet under any of those candidates, spending on CRIMINAL aliens will increase drastically. Under a Paul administration, it would decrease.

  1. OMG! Please tell you are kidding? This guy is a con-artist, and anyone who lives in Texas knows it! His favorite trick is to load up a bill with pork for his district, then votes against it….knowing full well they do not need his vote for it to pass! Come to your senses, my friend!

  2. So you’re saying his 27 years of consistent votes and statements; his entire Constitutional position; his dozens of congressional campaigns; his libertarian positions; his presidential campaign; indeed, his entire life is all just a con so he can, well, do something?

  3. My dear friend, when it comes to the wall on the border, he recently told a radio talk show host in Texas that he found the idea “offensive”. Yep, that’s what I’d call his entire life!

  4. Plus, he wants to bring all the troops home from everywhere in the world. Where’re we gonna put ‘em? We don’t have enough bases! Do more homework, and find out more. You’re too comment sense to buy into all of his wackjob rhetoric!

Love ya dearly, my friend. Learn more, become unenthused…I promise!

  5. In his 20+ years in the house, he has yet to write any legislation on any of his “pet” ideas! Want more?

  6. Sorry, meant “common sense”! :-(

  7. I agree with him on both those issues. The way to stop illegals isn’t to build a fence — it’s to stop giving away the farm! I AGREE.

Bring the troops home? You bet. Didn’t we already win in Iraq? If we won, how come we’re still there? Do you know what the #1 recruiting tool is for al-queerda? US Troops in their country! Yes, bring our troops home and stop terrorists in their tracks!

Why do we have troops in Germany? Italy? Japan? There’s no need for them there, none at all. Yes, bring them home, too!!!

  8. Please tell that “bring them home” to the brave Iraqis who’ve stood up against al Qaeda who are begging us not to leave them alone yet. They and their families would be the first to be dispatched…beheaded, raped, violated in every conceivable way! We will leave Iraq, but will have enough troops there in case Syria or Iran ignites. Leave Afghanistan? With al Qaeda running back and forth across the border? Ogre, we’re not the #1 recruiting tool. Medrassas are the #1 recruiting tool!

The good news is that 6 million Muslims are converting to Christianity every year…and that figure is from al Jazeera’s recent TV program about an Imam lamenting & warning of the “danger”. It’s a death sentence in Islam to convert…yet they are still doing it in huge numbers! You want peace in the middle east? Convert them to Christianity. How do our troops do that? By their sincere caring. I recently sent over 600 stuffed animals to troops in Iraq who requested them to give out to the kids. I have almost that many ready to be sent to Afghanistan. (It’s not just me, it’s my church, my Curves club, and friends with the aid of the Pennys from Heaven Foundation. )

You want our troops out of Germany? That’s where most of our wounded warriors are stabilized before coming home.

We have not provoked them, they are provoked by their perverted beliefs! Italy and France are staging areas for us to support our deployed troops! Are we to abandon our troops in ME? I know, I know, but sorry pal, we are at war, and the enemy is relentless!

How about out of Korea? With Kim Jung mentally-Il in charge?

Any questions? Still luv me? Still luv U!

  9. One problem I have is inconsistency. If we’re in Iraq because people there want us, and we’re overthrowing evil, when do we attack Iran? What about North Korea? And how about China?

If our job as America is to be the world’s police force and to attack people we decide are bad, we simply MUST attack Iran, North Korea, China, and various other countries around the world. In other words, we’ve either got to take over the world, we’ve got to stop, or we’re entirely inconsistent.

Also, here: http://www.ogresview.com/archives/117 I linked to a comprehensive report in which our very own CIA says that the #1 recruiting tool for the terrorists IS the US presence in their country. This is our own government telling us that it’s bad for us to remain in foreign countries.

  10. And yeah, I still luv ya! ;)

Unlike Democrats, I can debate political issues without hatred!

  11. Sorry, Darlin’. I don’t trust anything that comes out of the CIA. Valerie Plame and NYT leaks come to mind. They went after Reagan too! Entrenched bureaucracy protected by gov’t unions are inherently untrustworthy. That may be one area I’m in agreement with your pal Paul.

As for the rest of your points, I’m in total agreement with Marcus Luttrell (author of “Lone Survivor”…a must read…with a box of kleenex nearby) when it comes to politicians who declare war, yet want to forbid/close Gitmo, waterboarding, and dangerously restricting ROE (rules of engagement) , which is crap, then do NOT vote for war! If you’re going to fight it to win it, fine. If not, DON’T PUT OUR TROOPS IN HARMS WAY!

Isn’t it interesting, your point well taken, how conservatives can debate? Yet liberals can only scream, screech & attack you personally?

  12. I don’t think, upon re-reading, that I made my point coherently (I’ve had a cocktail). The point I wanted to make was to politicians: DO NOT VOTE FOR WAR AND THEN REFUSE TO FIGHT IT!!!!!! GET OUT OF THE WAY AND LET OUR MILITARY FIGHT IT ONCE YOUR VOTE IS MADE!!!

  13. You know I was not yelling at you, right? ;-)

  14. Oh yes! I completely agree. If we’re going to war, do it right. As Rush says, the military is designed to kill people and break things. If you don’t want dead people and broken things, DO NOT send the US Military.

Again — back to Paul — this is EXACTLY Paul’s position! He openly says that if Congress declares war, he’d have no problem sending in lots of troops to get the job done. His problem is that we’re not fighting a war, we’re just screwing around and shouldn’t be doing it.

  15. Okay, let’s call this a draw.

We’re both right where the military is concerned. However, I don’t believe it’s reason enough to throw my vote at this crackpot!

It does however explain why so many active military (according to the ads he’s running in Texas) are sending him money for his campaign. I wish his track record earned him the right to claim the proverbial high road they are according him. Perhaps they have the same high hopes that you still seem to have for him.

I wish he was more than a pipe dream. Unfortunately, I do not believe he is.

  16. Well, I have to say — I trust him more than I trust the words from any of the other candidates. Seriously. I see his actions matching his words more than the others. And I agree with him on more positions than any of the others as well. You are quite literally the first person I’ve ever heard question his integrity in any way, shape, or form.

  17. You need to be more in touch with Texas voters. There are many in Texas who have seen through him. As I said from the git-go; do more research.

The other problem I have with him are the plethora of kook-burgers (you not included) he seems to attract. Did you see how they attacked Sean Hannity and his crew in New Hampshire? These are not nice folks!

  18. I do appreciate the input. I’ve done a bunch of research, and I really haven’t seen much to dislike — and I’ve seen a LOT more to dislike about all the other choices for this year….

And yes, he does attract kooks. But I’m not sure how that reflects on his candidacy. As Paul himself says, if those people expect him to support their positions, they’re just wrong!
