Saving Water

Despite the recent rains in North Carolina, according to the media, we’re in the most severe drought since, well, in the history of the world. So I’m going to try and save some water:

  1. Well, I think beer is a suitable substitute for water and the dog looks pretty happy! Maybe we should all chip in and send a truckload of beer to Atlanta! I bet we could even include some bottle water for babies and little kids, but overall, we could call it “The Great Beer Caravan”! Maybe even enlist the Budweiser Klysdales and a couple of big wagons to conserve energy!!! Also, reinvoke the old rule of a Saturday night bath in which you only use one tub of water, starting with the oldest first and working your way down to the youngest! Of course this tradition from earlier times is where the saying “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater” comes from! :-) LOL!!!!

  2. Hey, if you’re sending a truckload of beer to Atlanta, let me know what route it’s taking…just for informational purposes, of course…

And why would you have a baby in beer water? Oh, you said BATH water… :)

  3. Kinda gives you a clue about how murky the bath water tended to be by the time the baby got, uh…er… bathed???
    Nasty….

I’ll send you a Google Map Ogre… for informational purposes of course *wink*

  4. Bah, they’re babies, I’m sure they wouldn’t care!

  5. I’ve seen the young ones eat sand, and their own poop when unimpeded, I’m sure it wouldn’t matter one bit if the bath water was a little “thick”! LOL!!!!!

  6. Yeah, thanks for sharing that mental image. I eat a lot of things, but I do draw the line at eating poop.

  7. I used to work in a daycare at a local Christian School… I could tell you stories that would curl your hair, even if you didn’t have any hair! lol!!!!

  8. I’m glad I have short hair so you don’t have to attempt to curl it for me!

  9. Saved by the crewcut! :-)

  10. I was up in Maine and there is plenty of icy cold bitter cold water- they call it the Atlantic ocean. And lots of blueberry flavored um…beeah. Life is good. It rained the entire time I was up there. Too bad Ogre and his state no longer exist. I hadn’t heard on the news that you’all ceased to be.

    LOL

  11. Send both down this way, will you? We’ll take the water and the beer!

  12. Glad to see you made it back form Maine in one piece Raven!
For some reason blueberry beeah just doesn’t sound right!
Hope there are no unexpected side effects from drinking it! LOL!!!

  13. It’s all in the mail Ogre! *chuckling*

  14. Cool. Be right back, I’m going to check the mailbox.
