New Feature

Starting next week, I’ll be introducing a new feature here at Ogre’s Politics and Views. Over the past couple months, I’ve been sent a few books for review. I also have quite a few books that I’ve been reading. Some are very political, some have absolutely nothing to do with politics. So, each Tuesday, I’m going to post a book review. Be sure to check in on Tuesdays and see what I’ve read (or am still reading)…

  1. Ever since I have had trouble with my eyes, I haven’t been able to reach much. I miss it. I will look forward to the new feature. :-)

  2. read… not reach! Lord, I can be sooo tangle fingered!

  3. Or type, apparently… ;)

I love to read. When I go blind, I’ll be searching for a doctor in a free country to fix my eyes.

  4. Actually my issue is dry eye and I have some very pricey medicine for it that should cure the issue. I used to read a book a week, now I am lucky to read an article or two and some bible each month. I can see better on the puter, than looking at pages in a book.
It won’t last but man it’s been awful.

  5. Can’t you just throw some water on them and be good? :)

  6. Oh no Ogre, how would those CEOs at the phameceutical companies be able to send their kids to Havard, Yale and Brown and have that summer chateau in the South of France if I didn’t have to get a month’s supply of eye drops and pay $180 for it (actually insurance pays $140 of it, but they get their money!).

  7. Well, they have to charge $180 BECAUSE of government. I’m betting that about $100 of that $180 goes to pay for insurance against lawsuits, sadly.

  8. Well one thing that I do give phamaceutical companys credit for, development costs are extremely high. One can always expect the cost of newly developed drugs will add to the price until the patient runs out.

  9. And again– BECAUSE of government. One reason they pay so much in development is because of the FDA and their rules! Government makes EVERYTHING worse.
