Woman Flees Government… in America
I can’t say I’m surprised. Instead, I have to say that I expect to see more of this as government in America continues. In the story, a woman and her family have been literally forced to flee from the government. She had to abandon her home and run out of the state or she may have been sent to jail and had her children taken from her. Her crime? Homeschooling.
Go read the linked article, if you have time. It outlines all the details. The brief version goes like this: a piece of paper granting her “permission” to home school her children for 2006 is missing. Therefore the judge wants to throw her in jail. That’s really about it. The woman was going to jail because of a paperwork error — it’s as simple as that. And her children were going to be taken away from her.
This is government in America today. Those in the black robes honestly believe they have to answer to no man or God for their actions and they will do as they please. This is a horrible abuse of the system. But this is also the only defense today — fleeing. This is why I strongly suggest all parents of young children should always have a small bit of money put away and a plan to escape your state. Once your department of “child” services attacks you, you cannot win.
As this case clearly illustrates, it’s not about being right or wrong. Claiming that if you aren’t doing anything wrong that you don’t have anything to worry about is clearly not true. The state will do what they want with you and your children no matter what you want. The state already has made it quite clear that once your children have entered the public school, parents have absolutely zero rights. And since the state wants control, they will do anything in their power to force your children into those schools.
Crossing state lines won’t completely solve the problem, but it does at least give this woman a chance to keep her children. If she chose to fight in Utah, she would be fighting only after the state kidnaps her children.
If you are ever in this situation, do drop me a line. I will offer sanctuary to political refugees from other states. I would help Denise Mafi in this case, but she’s got to remain hidden or the state will arrest her, throw her in jail, and steal her children — because of a paperwork error. Welcome to America today.

This woman enrolled the children in public education and they still weren’t happy Ogre! It’s time to nail her to a cross for the criminal act of educating her own children. That judge has some nerve saying homeschooling fails 100% of the time and HE would NOT ALLOW IT??? First of all, I’d like to know where he get’s his statistics and second of all who gave him the right to take away the rights of a United States Citizen and the parent of the children? This stuff just get’s scarier all the time!
It’s a judge. They honestly believe that they are kings. No one is allowed to question them in most cases.
This is why I seriously believe that all parents with children need to be prepared to run and hide from this abusive government.
I do remember a case many years ago where a local couple was prosecuted for murder of their 7 year old child. They practiced a religion that didn’t believe in doctors or hospitals. Their child got sick (I forget what with but it turned into meningitis and the child died). They said because of how the child was cared for and the diet it was given and the denial of medical care of a professional is why the child died. At the time I thought it was awful that these people had done this.
I still think it is a stupid way to think. But in retrospect, the government was rearing it’s ugly head. I may totally disagree with the people and their faith, but… they had the right to deal with the situation according to their faith. Charges by child welfare should not have been filed and the couples other children should not have been taken away from them. It was not murder or abuse, it was people practicing their faith and accepting the outcome as the will of God. Funny, I hadn’t thought about the case for years, but I have changed in my viewpoint.
Indeed, it’s like the folks out in CA or wherever that was when the Jehovah’s witness didn’t want a blood transfusion. He was 16 or so, and he died. And he and his family were okay with that. Government has no business doing about 90% of what they do today.
Man, and so many in the media just want to put Ron Paul out there as someone the “aliens brought in on a ship!!!”. I guess the idea of “freedom and small government” skeers em!!!!
Mostly now I see absolutely NO mention of Ron Paul. They are absolutely terrified of him and now I think they realize even mentioning him gets people thinking about looking up who he is and what he stands for.
And a lot of people, when they find out what Paul REALLY stands for, really like what he’s talking about.
