Snowman Army
So, do you ever find yourself doing the same thing year after year? For example, when you haul out all those boxes of Christmas decorations, do you find everything going in the same place every year? Maybe it’s comforting to you to dig out that same stuff and put it in the same place.
That’s me, I usually do that. But the other day as I was walking past the blinding lights that is my front yard during the Christmas season, I had a weird idea. And I made a couple changes. I’m sure this has nothing to do with why the homeowners’ association has been writing me letters…

Now I just need to find about 100 more of those little snowman lights… no, really, do you know where I can find more?

Ogre… that is very cute, but what does it represent?
You have to ask yourself that. An army of snowmen, or a snowman cult? Or maybe a Snow Kindergarten teacher and her class on tour of your front yard??? You have this Christmas decorating thing down to the OCD level my mother always had!
I have thought about making a deal with a friend… I go take her stuff and decorate for her and she comes to my place and takes my stuff and does the decorating.
It would be a great way to “change it around” and it would be interesting to see if she does certain things the way I always did. Kinda like the Learning Channel show, Changing Spaces, just doing it with the old Christmas decorations.

Ogre, sorry it took me a few days to get over here (lot’s of reading to do at the Carnival of Christmas) but it occurs to me that your Snowman Light Army could be similar to Light Infantry. That being the case, A Snow Fort Too Far would be appropriate since that bridge (Arnheim) was invested by Airborne which is the same as Airborne Infantry. Which brings me to one last question: Now, would this body of troops be commanded by a Light Colonel?
Or more importantly… where am I going to get a wall to defend for them? It’s 60 degrees out there, so I’m thinking a snow wall isn’t going to do it…
Just get an inflatable kiddie pool Ogre, that can be the “fortress” they defend!!!!

But parachutes… hmmm… I have a rather high roof…
It’s just that my neightbor has an inflatable Snoopy in his sopworth camel with rotatating propeller and Snoopy, woodstock and his dog house (inflatable) as well next door and quite frankly… I think they are “lazy and unimaginative”!!! But I’ve gotton used to seeing the inflatables… thus the kiddie pool thought. I have since dashed it from my mind… forgiveness great Ogre!!!!
Yeah, and my parachute rigger is right there in North Carolina too!!!
You cannot imagine the thoughts and ideas I have going through my mind for next year now… I can picture wires from the 30′ roof down towards the snowman battlefield… I’ll have to come up with some enemies to be entrenched for the snowmen to attack…
