Huckabee’s Endorsement

Huckabee’s Endorsement

Folks, Huckabee scares me. Not as much as Hillary, but he will increase spending more than Bill Clinton and Bush I did — and in less time.

  1. Ogre, I have a problem when a man promotes “his christianity for votes”. I view politics as dirty and when you “use the Lord” in such a way as to promote it, you are dirtying our savior in doing so. It’s OK to let people know you have a religion or that you are a minister, but the ad with the cross in the backgound… oh, sorry, that’s a “window pane or bookshelf”???? Any way, I think his promoting that is not right. Plus, he’s no different than other less reputable politicians, he is, base on word from sources close to it, responsible for witholding an animal cruelty investigation on his son a few years back. Talk about an abuse of Power! If he’ll do it as governor, he’ll do it as president. JMHO.
I don’t trust anyone who toots their Christianity horn too loudly.

  2. I’m telling you, this guy just scares me. I hope word really gets out on him before he starts winning states. Of course, he could win Iowa and SC with the religious end, but that will give him lots of trouble, even in the primary, in NH, FL and other big early states.

  3. I just think that I prefer one who lives his faith and you can tell based on that, than one who uses “parlor tricks” to create the image. I don’t trust that at all. And I think you are right, Huckabee is not what he is trying to sell. I think enough will come out about him to sink him before it’s over. At least I hope so. I’ve never wanted to see a minister in the White House anyway, as I don’t think the country should be run like a “congregation” and I don’t think the ministry should ever be mingled with politics.

  4. I wonder if more people hear his saying that he will force people to give to his charities if that will open more eyes.

  5. Ogre, I do hope they catch all those “subtle nuances”.
The more I see him, the scarier he is.

  6. There’s lots of talk out there that he’s peaked. And I’ve read accounts that say he will win Iowa and McCain will win NH — leaving the field wide open — but those wins might set up Rudy and Romney going home. That would be really odd.
