A little while ago, K.T. Cat posted a picture that he referred to as the “Classic Profile” of the cat. Yes, it was indeed KT Cat, a most benevolent ruler. However, I would suggest that the picture was staged. Yes, I said it, staged.

Having a cat in the household myself, I have had quite the occasion to observe them in action. I would suggest that this picture here is a much more common picture and pose, and therefore a much more “classic” cat post than the other.

Now while the other pose is certainly more regal and dignified, I would also suggest that is it very rare at the same time. This pose is certainly much more common — and I would guess that anyone who has observed a cat would be much more likely to see this pose than the other, no?

    Nope… I disagree. That pose looks like he’s about to play a piano concerto! Unless the cat’s name is Chopin, I would say no… that is not a common cat pose. Get one of them lounging on the recliner and looking at you with that “You need to serve ME” look, and that is your “common cat pose”. Or even the “cat stalking the dog in the backyard” theme. That is very common!!! But not the “Concert Pianist Kitty” pic. Sorry Ogre. LOL!!!

    I just realized… that cat IS SLEEPING!!! You just took an ariel photo!!! So I change the earlier assessment.
    That is a “common cat pose”.

    I would be too with a big ole comfortor too, fire in the fireplace, and some Gheridelli hot chocolate, and peanut butter cookies to dip in it! Then I’d snooze The rest of the day! It was about 12 or 14 degrees last night so waking up was no fun at all!!!

    Nah, strangely enough, this old guy doesn’t like much people food at all. He’ll take a little turkey now and then, but that’s about it.
