Election Day
Well, go ahead, go out and vote. I suggest voting for anyone who is NOT in the Republican or Democrat party. Talk all you want about “wasting” your vote — I think it’s a much bigger waste to vote for the fools who brought us this disaster of a country today.

Absolutely! Since I can’t vote for Alan, I’ll not cast one in that category (I have convictions, plus I earned the right being in the military). As soon as this is over, say tomorrow morning, conservatives need to begin supporting the Constitution Party and leave the Republican Socialist reform party.
Ober, oops!!! Ogre,
You got my vote but I don’t think it’s going to work out. You were the only libertarian I voted for and I really wanted you to win!!!
Obama’s supposedly trying to extend the “hand of bipartisanship”. I say it’s a little like the guy that broke into my house, stole my HDTV, burned down my house on the way out, and then has the gall to invite me over for a wine and cheese fest at his place, to watch the Superbowl on my TV.
Bipartisanship? Brideges across the aisle? I’d say Obama’s rejection of me, and people like me, questioning the intellect of people who think as I do, all his life, and especially during this campaign, has been the reverberating sound of this socialist building his own personal “Bridge to Nowhere”.
Good analogy, Daryl — and very accurate.
“Republican Socialist reform party” — I like it! I know there’s a big Republican meeting in the next week. I’m wondering if they’ll continue their run to the left or realize this was a mistake. I wouldn’t mind if they continued to the left because that would give a boost for conservatives everywhere — as they joined parties that are actually conservative!
Ogre,
Are you not going to comment on your run for the NC House of Representatives for the 95th district? What did you think of it? It is too bad that you weren’t here to really campaign for it. I know you didn’t run really hard at this but you did get quite a few votes. In Iredell County this is almost unheard of, as you know, for an independent to get that many votes. After all, you had always said that you had thought many times about rinning for this seat. What made you decide to give it a run this time?
I don’t know. This past week after returning from Africa, I’ve been just doing a lot of thinking (and recovering). I spent most of Wednesday and Thursday taking down my road signs, so I haven’t been around the computer much at all. Indeed, it was quite a battle, since my opponent had an 18-thousand vote head start on me due to straight ticket votes…
