Peace in the Middle East
I’d love to see peace in the Middle East. But they’ve been warring with one another for THOUSANDS of years. I don’t think America had a chance to tell these people how to live their lives — they’re going to have to figure it out for themselves.

My father told me once, when Isreal and Syria were “having at it”, that he thought the hatred was so old that they had forgotton why the hated, they were just acting on it because it was there. It was like that in the former Yugoslavia too. It certainly is very complicated from a diplomatic standpoint.
They’ve been at it for thousands of years in the Middle East. Indeed, I’m sure the children are taught at a young age: “Why do we fight? Because they’re the enemy!”
Brilliantly stated!
And this is something that people have known for hundreds of years! The founding fathers of this country understood it when they advised that we not become entangled in the affairs of foreign countries — because we simply do not understand their culture!
There will be no peace without the Prince of Peace!!
I love seeing Jews and Arabs come to Christ, as they end up forgetting that they are supposedly supposed to be fighting (ok, it’s the Arabs, the Jews just want to be left alone).
There will be peace there, and I believe soon, but it’s going to get a whole lot worse before that happens.
You’re dead on, of course, Echo. And it is indeed a wonderful thing when you see people completely changed by the power of the Holy Spirit!
