Welcome!
So, welcome to the new place! This is it.
Well, for the time being, anyway. I tried out WordPress using their free system and liked it so much I decided to go with this as my platform. I (obviously) got the account setup and the domain name, so here I am. I also imported all the stuff from the other temporary site, so it’s not empty here! I don’t see any future plans to move from this url, so feel free to update your bookmarks, blogrolls, etc. to this location, if you please.
The mu.nu site does auto-redirect here now. However, I can’t auto-redirect the free WordPress site. I can imagine the abuse that would get if they did allow that. So hopefully you’ve found me without too many problems.
One of the features of Wordpress is the theme — it’s so easy to switch themes, I might change every day. So if you are using a browser (as opposed to a feed reader) to read this site and it suddenly looks different — yeah, that’s me playing with the theme. I started out with this water theme. It’s sort of dark, but I really like how clean the theme looks, so I’m going with it for now. I hope you like it, too.
In the meantime, I’m now working on all the widgets and what-not in the sidebars over there on the right, updating blogrolls, etc. Drop me a line here and let me know what you think of this place. I don’t think I’ll post any new content until Monday, but feel free to join in all the other conversations below, too!
Thank you again, for stopping by and taking the time to read this post.

This place sure is dark. I imagine it’s under a bridge.
It is a bit dark. But for some reason I do like it. With all that water, it sure could be under a bridge!
OOH I do LIKE it…alot.
And WordPress no less! I like WP a very lot and don’t think I can use any other platform.
I’ll update my links at JR.
WP does have an importer for MT posts- maybe you can move those?

Cao, of course it’s dark, its a cave river. Ogre’s live in a CAVE and its DARK in a cave. LOL. Like your site ogre, will update my highly recommended reading blogroll.
Heh, awesome! Welcome to WP. Looks good.
Now you can have fun with all the WP plugins! Definately get Bad Behavior.
One of the best sites to find themes is http://www.emilyrobbins.com/how-to-blog/comprehensive-list-of-615-free-wordpress-15-and-20-themes-templates-available-for-download-266.htm
If you are running WP 2.3, watch out: many older themes hate IE.
Links changed.
Thanks for all the kind words! And the warnings and notes, Teach. Indeed, I’m playing with widgets today!
Looks like you have a good handle on the cave waters of ogredum! Great choice Ogre!
Thanks, chrys! I like it so far.
I’ve updated my sidebar!
It’s dark in here, but ogres like it dark.
Indeed — it makes it easier to shine the light of truth on stuff when you’re looking out from the darkness!
I think I’m going to be seasick. Ugh. But I like the new place otherwise.
You’re not supposed to be bouncing up and down while reading it… wait, what ARE you doing?
Need night vision goggles !!! Glad you finally found a new home to settle in to. Everything is upated on my end.
[...] Ogre has some new digs. Go check ‘em out, say hello [...]
Thanks Jo, and thanks for stopping along!
A little late to the party, but I like the site! Congrats on the move to your own site and being free of other peoples’ systems and the limitations that brings.
I’m not a guru on Wordpress or anything, but if you have any questions, you know where to email me.
Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by, Echo. Indeed, it’s a freeing feeling to know that I don’t have to ask to do anything. Of course in some cases that means I have to figure out how to do it myself, but I think I can handle that.
