Business Profitable? Not in Florida

The state of Florida has ruled that businesses are not allowed to be profitable in the state unless the state says so. Quite effectively, the state has decided exactly how much money your business shall be permitted by the state to make. Freedom? No, they will have none of that. Want to know why insurance is so expensive? Just ask the state — they are the ones setting the rules. Instead of letting free people come to free agreements, the state has decided THEY are the sole arbitrators of what shall or shall not be profitable.

Don’t complain when the insurance company leaves your state because they’re losing money — the state forced the company to NOT make money.

And yes, I realize Florida is not the only state where the government controls the means and production of businesses. But politicians have zero authority to talk about the high cost of anything when they are the reason the cost is high. Want to reduce insurance costs astronomically? Get government out of the damn way.
