Obama and Saddleback

Rick Warren, in his “moderate” support of moderate McCain and far, far-left radical Obama helped to introduce Obama to alleged Saddleback evangelicals let Obama claim:

Obama reaffirmed his stance that marriage is “the union between a man and a woman,” although he supports civil unions for gay partners. He said he would not support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage because the issue is one for state governments to handle.

Or, in other words:

I support everyone who votes, no matter what your position is. I don’t really have a position that I want to reveal, because that might make someone not vote for me. So I’m going to say something that everyone can like without actually revealing my massive support to absolute and total unquestionable support for gays.

And

He said he is pro-choice, but not pro-abortion. Obama explained that he thinks women don’t make the decision to have an abortion casually and wrestle with it.

In other words:

While I believe that getting pregnant when you don’t feel like getting pregnant is punishment, and I in fact, think all children are actually punishment for those who want to have sex without repercussions, I think that people should be able to have sex without repercussions, but at the same time don’t think people should have the punishment of the decision to not prevent themselves from not having sex whenever and wherever they want without having to be punished.

And giving support to those who claim he’s the anti-christ:

Obama also said the greatest moral failing of America is its inattention to the disadvantaged. Quoting scripture, he said the line that “whatever you do for the least of my brother you do for me” should apply to poverty, racism and sexism.

In other words, in his attempts to literally say anything to get someone’s vote, he attempts to quote the Bible to get the votes of Christians. Of course, the fact that in his bible, the one that they use at the black theological church, apparently Jesus said, “You shall use as much force as you can gather to steal and take from anyone who works; and you shall give that money to those who you personally like, and who will vote for you.”

Here’s a verse for you, Obama:

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

That includes His Words, not just His name, you scumbag.

  1. Amen and a big ole Ditto on that!!!! Tell it like it is brother!

  2. It’s disgusting that people like Rick Warren actually buy this blatant pandering by Obama who still refuses to denounce that he is a Muslim.

  3. Not only that, he is 100% for letting babies die after a botched abortion! This man is a demon.

  4. Oh, and I will never read another Rick Warren book, ever after this farse. He has nothing to tell me that God doesn’t communicate through the Bible and prayer anyway.

  5. Indeed, he is. And like most demons, he uses his slick tongue to convince people that he’s good.

  6. I had heard a little about Rick Warren before this event. I had heard of his book “A Purpose Driven Life,” but had never read it. This event and Mr. Warren’s positions and words leading up to it have ensured that not only will I not read his books, I will attempt to educate more people about his “moderate” positions on, well, Christ. I am certainly not one to judge a person, but I’m reasonably sure that taking Jesus’ side is NOT a moderate position that Rick Warren’s “moderate” “church” supports.

  7. I wholly agree with you Ogre. I have become disinterested in the election of late. I just can’t seem to write anything on it without getting depressed. I did see on Cao’s blog and interesting post about the movement to get “none of the above” on the ballot. I think it’s a good idea when there is no one you can vote for in good consciousness.

  8. I’m REALLY glad to see “none of the above” gaining ground as a ballot option…. it’s really the ONLY sane option in this and most other elections of late.

  9. I haven’t decided what to do on my presidential ballot. I do know that I’m not voting McCain or Obama. I’m 95% sure the only other option I have in NC will be Bob Barr. Writing in “none of the above” is not counted, nor would not be reported in NC.

  10. “None of he Above” should NOT be a write-in choice, it should ALWAYS appear on ALL ballots as a voter option right alongwith the slate of announced candidates, and should be used by voters when NONE of the candidates are deemed qualified.

As a side note, doesn’t it seem odd that the call for “Saving the Planet” from the Global Warming zealots has now all but died amidst the latest news that the planet is once again on a cooling trend, with global average temperatures overall declining in spite of more and more man-made greenhouse gases. And guess what, the cycle of sunspot activity is right on schedule, with the other planets in our solar system going slightly cooler from the reduced radiance as well. Well, I guess we’re all going to be yelled at by the “save the (fill-in-the-blank)” crowd to get back to saving the whales again, huh!!!!!!!!

  11. Remember Brewster’s Millions where he convinced everyone to vote “none of the above?” That was hilarious — and I wish it could happen.
